Mainstays 3-Piece Stainless Steel Barbecue Grill Tool Set

Get ready for great grilling with this solid set of BBQ tools. This is the perfect grilling tools set you want to take to a park BBQ for holidays and family outings. With three pieces, it comes with a pair of tongs, a spatula, and a fork. They made all three of the tools of a sturdy steel metal and they’re quite durable. Length-wise, it has enough distance to keep you away from the flames. They’re about 15 inches with the spatula being a tad longer. The easy to grip handles are made of a strong plastic that isn’t cheap and really goes a long way to helping you to not feel the heat. This is an excellent quality set. I used them on the grill at about 400 degrees, flipping, turning, and moving food about the grill for several minutes. The BBQ tools held up great against the flames. I really liked that the spatula’s beveled front end made it ideal for an easy slide to flip for those burgers and hot dogs. The tongs at first appeared flimsy. I was certain they were going to bend, but the tongs proved me wrong by a mile. I used them to pick up, turn, and move 8.45 ounce chicken drumsticks and meaty sausage wrapped with bacon on the grill. They held up solid and weren’t awkward to use and they were easy to close around the food.  I over-basted the hamburger patties and when I flipped them over using the spatula, a bit of the BBQ sauce dripped on to the flame, causing it to flare up (See my second picture for visual proof) to where I held the spatula. My hand didn’t feel a thing. The length of the spatula kept me a safe distance from the fire and the flames didn’t melt or leave a burn on the tool! This is good quality. I’m impressed with the Mainstays 3 Piece Stainless Steel Barbecue Grill Tool set. Definitely recommended.

Mainstays 3 piece stainless steel BBQ tool set I very nice. Perfect for your basic grilling needs. It comes with a spatula tongs and a prong fork. They are hand wash only. The are all easy to grip and use. The spatula has a angled bottom so you can get under stuff to turn very easily. The prong fork has a nice sharp end for easy pick up. The tongs work good I have small hands so had some problems getting a good grip around these. A Quality product overall and I would recommend. A great started kit for your grilling needs.

This is a great bbq set for a fantastic price. I bought this set to take on camping trips. We usually have old donated cooking tools but they bend and break so easily. So I bought this set. And the quality is perfect. Yet the set is affordable so I can easily replace it if they get destroyed while camping,

This set saved our camping trip and it might save yours too. I just wish the handles were longer. My husband was afraid the plastic would melt from the heat of the fire. It did the trick though. I probably wouldn’t purchase as a daily use item for grilling at home.

This BBQ set is very nice! My husband loves it! It comes with the spatula, tongs, and piercing fork. The handles feel nice and sturdy- they clean up easily. I will say I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the thickness of the metal. It's a bit thin- and the fork feels like if you stab a hunk of meat the metal may bend. It's the same with the tongs- if you try to pick up something too heavy, they may bend so do be aware if you're trying to move a hot, heavy item from the grill or plate. That being said, I think this is a nice light set to take camping or to the beach grill, it's perfect for smaller items like hot dogs or hamburgers! Even chicken would be perfect for this set. I think you'll enjoy it and it makes a nice gift for the BBQ fan on your list!

This stainless steel BBQ grill set is nice and sturdy. This set comes with three pieces: the fork, spatula and tongs. The spatula is sturdy and slated to allow juices from whatever your grilling to fall through to prevent splattering. The fork is a two pronged for and good to use for holding a piece of mean in place to cut or to pick up hotdogs/brats. The tongs are harder for me to pinch together as I have lost some dexterity in my dominant hand, but overall if you have full use of your hand/strength, these would be fine for you to use to flip food or pick food up off the grill with. These tongs are intended to be hand washed only. Do not put in the dishwasher. Overall, I am happy with this grill set and would certainly recommend this to anyone in need of a grill set.

The spatula and fork are good. The tongs are not very sturdy or durable and can twist easily on thick cut meat. They are easy to clean . If the tongs were better I would have increased the rating.

These are REALLY big - I am a woman with smaller hands, and I have trouble with these. Further, I'm not 100% sure how to store them. Pros: Good for standing back and flipping burgers Solidly made Dishwasher safe Cons: Awkward to hold No place to store them - way too big for the little cylinder I hold my other cooking tools in The tongs don't have a latching mechanism - so they're always out wide, making them even more awkward to store It would be nice if they came with a little hook or something to store them on? I'm not quite sure what to do with them when they're not in use.

The price for the set is right and it will probably works for the light bbq grill master, but if you do cook heavy pieces of meat (ribs, brisket, etc) then you will need a more heavy-duty set. The fork and spatula are sil holding well, but the tongs broke while turning a medium size brisket. The tongs have a smaller grip that would be good for people with small hands, but the grip is not very strong. The edges don't have a good finish and are sharp so you need to be careful when washing the tools.

This was a tough call, but I am not recommending this BBQ grill set. The spatula and fork are fine. Not great, but passable. They won't last very long as they are not full tine, but for people who have a $30 table top grill and grill maybe a dozen times a year, they are probably fine. However, the tongs takes it down from a "barely recommend" to a "Can't quite recommend" rating for me. First off, they open WAY too wide. And require a pretty good amount of force to close. No need for either of these things to be the case. I would hate to be an older person, with wet or slippery hands trying to close these. There is also nothing to keep them closed like even other cheap tongs have. Either something you pull on the top, or even a ring that you can slide up toward the tong end to keep closed, or down toward the handle to open. This will make storage an issue unless you want to have a strong rubber band handy. And quite frankly, it may not be a bad idea to keep that rubber band on at all times to keep it partially closed as well as assist in squeezing it. So my advice is, even though these may be cheaper, but a better set. They don't even cost that much more and the money will be well spent.
