Mainstays 4-Liter Matte Black Electric Deep Fryer with Adjustable Temperature Control

I bought this item from Walmart online, and I love it. My son and I made chicken tender, and it came out so good. I think he's going to start making it instead of buying it from now on

I've owned several different sizes and shapes. This one has worked out well. 2 months in. I can cook 20 wings easily. Fry fish and chicken. Easily put in 4 breasts. ✅️ So easy to clean. This was important to me. yes, I'm a real person not paid. I seldom leave reviews.

Arrived on time..great deep fryer for the price..im enjoying using it..perfect size for the area i wanted to keep it in..love the size of the basket..love the big window on the lid can see everything that is cooking..very very pleases with my choice..im actually going to order one for my daughter.

It’s bigger than I thought it was going to be and it genuinely looks so nice. For the price? You really can’t go wrong with this one. I had a $250 one before this and I replaced it with this. The basket it big, easy to use, and easy to put together. My life is filled with French fries and deep fried nuggies now

We were low on gas for our normal fish cooker and bought this just to get by. We liked it so much that we bought a 2nd. Tank is deep and holds a gallon easily. Oil temp recovers quickly from frozen product, and the cover is great. Be sure you check power requirements before buying.

It’s better than my old one that I brought! I love how it had a filter for the steam to get out! My old deep fryer didn’t have that. I was so amazed how many features has had and I also love when the oil is ready it the light turns green and also when things are done frying, the light also turns green to let me know that the food is done cooking. I never had to check the inside to make sure that it my food as fully cooked inside!

Excellent appliance with an even better price point. I had it delivered in the same day I purchased it and it was at my house within 4 hours and it saved me the aggravation of having to drop everything I was doing and have to go to the store. Excellent all around.

I used it about 5 times and then it just stopped working in the middle of when I was cooking French fries. The heating light went out and the temperature of the oil started dropping (I used a food thermometer to manually take the temperature of the oil after the temperature indicator light stopped working). This purchase was a total waste of money. Walmart has lost my respect as a customer, which is not the reaction you need from your customers. I definitely would NOT recommend that anyone purchase this product.

I purchased this item in April, we are at the end of May, and I have used this item five times. It quit on me in the middle of frying fish tonight. I noticed that the light went out so I thought maybe it popped the breaker... I checked that and it's fine, I've even let it cool back down to plug it in and it still won't work. I keep my grease clean and I use regular canola oil. The light just went off in the middle of frying and it will not come back on. I don't understand how I have items from the 60s and 70s and they still work just fine, but the new items today can't even get me through a full month. It's frustrating because it extends cooking time and then when I try to submit it for a refund request, they want me to send this thing back. I don't even have the box that it went in because I wasn't expecting on returning it! now I need to clean it box it up in an unmarked box and ship it back up there? NO, thank you very much...Too much of a hassle, I'll call Walmart to see if they can do something about it. If you're low on funds and you need something like this shop elsewhere please.

After using only one time to fry batches of fried chicken for my sons birthday it wont heat up anymore when I tried to use it again after a week. The lights just stays on, the oil never heats up, checked everything and tried resetting but no luck it never heats up again and I was just dismayed and frustrated and called the customer service and see if they can do anything and if I am missing something but it ends up as a return item. I read some 1 star reviews here and some were lucky they reached 4 or fives usage so it made me think is it because of the immersible component that contributes to its early life so now I am trying to make a decision whether to get another one with the same type of component but definitely not the mainstay brand anymore and I am deciding to get the one from presto that is not an immersible component but I will try another chance for this type of immersible heating component. Too bad I was not able to fry my chicken.
