Mainstays 5-Shelf Bookcase with Adjustable Shelves, White

I know these are bookshelves but I used them to redo my son's closet and it worked like a charm. We removed those awful wire racks and placed these instead. They are super sturdy and hold all of his stuff. They only took a few minutes to assemble by myself and then anchored them to the wall. So far they are holding up great and many of my friends have used them as closet storage as well.

Very useful way to create more storage space for little money. I feel I got my money's worth with this purchase. I used one for a bookcase and art display. I used one shelf set to turn a small closet into a pantry storage area. Easy to put together. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

delivered straight to my door...thankful because the box is heavy and i oedwred four. ive been wanting bookcases to fill an unused wasted space in my condo. assemble was easy about 20 minutes each. im very pleased with the outcome and it was beyond budget friendly.

Bought two bookshelves, and two cubic storage shelves to build this amazing closet organizer. Bought some rechargeable, magnetic, sensor LED lights and it’s a game changer.

I bought a total of 4 bookcases easy to put together with minimum tools however if you don't line the backing up correctly you will have an issue with that however adding rods in lot the ones without the back should give it the sturdiness I'm looking for

they could be more sturdier because he's just plywood and it breaks easily so you really have to be careful putting it together and make sure that you put the nails in the right place the first time because if you have to reduce something some of the plywood could possibly crumble.. other than that I love them they look beautiful they're holding on my handbags so it's a plus for me

I'll start this off by saying I have gotten a lot of shelf's from Walmart. I don't normally have an issue there sometimes a little wobbly but nothing that can't be fixed. This shelf though for some reason would not stand up straight. Completely sideways. It fell knocking everything over and smashing into other things I had the gaming room. You might be able to make it and might not have as bad of an experience but we couldn't get it to work.

I purchased two of these Bookcases to load with stuffed animals. I know that they are inexpensive and don’t hold a lot of weight, but they seemed to be perfect for my needs. The only problem I had with BOTH sets of bookcases is that they can’t be assembled correctly because the Upper Right Panel D1 is miscut and the edges do not line up. I pulled the D1 out of the second set of shelves and it was also miscut. I cannot use either of these pieces because of the gap. This will also prevent the back panels from attaching correctly. I have called the phone number provided numerous times over a four week period for help, but no one answers. I also left a message but got no response. The voice mail tells you to email [email protected], but they also don’t respond to emails. I need two replacement D1 Upper Right Panels - one for each of the boxes. If this is the kind of customer service response that I can’t get from Megaprima Home, then maybe these bookcases should not be sold at Walmart at all.

These were a good price, and I've generally been happy with Mainstays. But the wood is not strong enough for the screws. One of the silver cylinder cam bolts wouldn't go far enough in, and would warp when tightened. (The bottom point would bend down, pushing the flat screwdriver plus side out of the wood.) Getting another one didn't help. I thought I got it tightened, but when I lifted the top to stand the shelves up, it just folded in the middle. The center cam bolt threads just pulled out of the wood. I reinforced the middle with L brackets, and screwed plywood to the back.

Cheap garbage. Not only did it arrive in a box that was ripped almost all the way down to the middle of the cardboard, exposing the material, but now that I've finally put it together it's just flimsy and cheap. The back doesn't properly line up, leaving an unsightly gap between the shelf.
