Mainstays 5-Shelf Metal and Wood Arch Open Bookcase

I took away 1 star because the shelves have small indents where screws need to be driven not pilot holes (4 per shelf x 5 shelves.) They were not deep enough to allow the screws to be easily driven in. I used a small drill bit to deepen the holes SLIGHTLY and then attached the support bars. The shelf is stable and comes with wall anchors to prevent tipping.

This bookcase is everything I was looking for! It is high quality and a lot heavier than I thought it would be. Very sturdy. Comes with a wall anchor set if needed. The style is exactly what I wanted for my bedroom and the shelves are very roomy. Definitely buy it!

We recently purchased our first home and my vision for the living room included an arched shelf for plants and photos. I was originally interested in the Better Homes %26 Gardens Juliet Narrow Arch Bookcase, but then I saw this shelf. I love the open sides of this shelf vs the closed sides of the bookshelf to create a more open and airy feel for the living room and the price is amazing! This shelf is wider than the Juliet Bookcase but fits the space perfectly. Easy to assemble (I "supervised" while my boyfriend built it but he didn't have any issues putting it together) and quick delivery.

I absolutely love this shelf and so does my cat. It’s so beautiful.

Love this! I immediately want another one. I expected it to be really cheaply made for the price, but I'm so happy it looks very expensive and holds up well. I hate assembling things so it was annoying, but not hard at all.

Great product I would highly recommend it! So easy to put together all the tools are included step-by-step instructions were excellent. It looks as beautiful as it does in this picture if not more beautiful..

Absolutely beautiful I left one of the top arches off, which gave it a different effect but it works perfectly for my Storage thank you. I'm trying to buy another one.

I really like this shelf but the screws was a little difficult to make sure they were in without them popping out, had to add some superglue to make sure that didn’t keep happening but it worked and it’s nice shelf

When putting this together the base shelf metal bars that screw into the shelf then secure that shelf into the black metal skeleton are just 1 inch screws going into particle board. This makes the shelf incredibly weak and mine seemed to shear off on assembly. Do yourself a favor and skip this purchase for something more sturdy

It started falling apart before it was even put together. the mounting brackets for the shelves we're not flush or even to the wood. and when screwing the mounting brackets to the shelf the wood immediately stripped and would no longer support each other.
