The containers were stuck together so tightly that they were nearly impossible to separate. I needed them urgently, but I spent way too much time trying to pull them apart, and two of them even ended up breaking in the process. To make matters worse, the sealing is non-existent. The liquid leaked everywhere. It was a complete waste of money and time. I do not recommend this product at all.
I've spent waaaay too much time and energy trying to separate these containers. I was able to get the top two separated but the top one cracked in the process. I came here hoping for suggestions. I tried twisting them apart as one reviewer suggested and had no luck. I then tried soaking them in soapy water. FINALLY! That worked. I'm using these to store bulk shea butter in the fridge and the rest for packaged snacks and bulk nuts. I'll have to cover the containers with plastic wrap first though because the seal is not that great. I only gave two stars because of the time and energy drain, poor quality seal, and loss of one container.
I purchased the 64 oz deli containers and they are unusable due to a serious quality issue. The containers themselves are fused/stuck together so tightly that it is literally impossible to pull them apart. I received the original order and a replacement, and both sets had the exact same problem. The only way I could separate them was by forcing them, which caused the plastic to crack and break. The smaller sizes (8 oz, 16 oz, and 32 oz) have no issues at all, so this defect seems specific to the 64 oz version. This is unacceptable quality control for the price. These containers should not be this defective. Walmart needs to fix or remove the 64 oz size until the manufacturing issue is resolved.
These were fine containers but so difficult to get apart I ended up with only two usable ones. Incredibly frustrating. I pulled, I twisted, I used pliers... It was like the were industrial Vaccume sealed together. Not worth it IMO
As everyone has said, they are stuck together so completely that my hands are raw from trying to separate them. I've broken one and have only been able to separate four of them at this point. Don't waste your time or money.
I always love to have storage bowls on hand. I have started transitioning to glass bowls, especially for foods that are more liquid. These bowls are great for storing chips and crackers in. These bowls are more on the flimsy side. They are a struggle to separate them. I barely got the one bowl out. They are easy to clean. I wont be using them for liquids so I dont know how they are with leakage but as flimsy as they are I wouldnt trust them with foods that could leak.
These containers that I received are very large, which is perfect for prepping weekly meals. The lids provide an airtight seal. Storing them is convenient as they are stackable and the lids fit on top. I was excited to receive these containers because I don't have anything like them currently. These containers can hold large quantities of food or household goods. I highly recommend them.
The 64oz Mainstays plastic deli containers are a great size for fruit, rice, pasta, etc. I would probably not put soup or liquids due to the lid not feeling like it has a great seal. They are dishwasher and microwave safe and BPA free. I'm excited to use them and turn them into pots for my plants. They were difficult to separate initially.
As you can see in the photo with my grapes, it's sitting in 2 containers because there was NO WAY possible I was able to separate each container from one another without breaking any. They are very thin and bend really easily, they're nearly impossible to take apart and utilize each container, but I will say they are a great size for meal prep storage if you have plenty to keep in your fridge. The size is about as good as it's going to get.
Mainstay plastic deli containers are of good enough quality however the plastic is very pliable. Good for storing cold items. Plastic maybe crack easy over time. Would not suggest storing anything hot so definitely wait till things cool down. I have found them to be very useful when storing salads or fruit.
