Great jars. I don't use for canning so can't attest to that, but I use for storage and they are fabulous for that. I only have one size lid to deal with. Glass doesn't stain or hold smells and washes easily in the dishwasher. Best part is that glass keeps fruits and veggies nice and fresh for the week.

There isn't a lot to say about glass jars. These have been working great for me. I can say these are tough as they've survived knocks I would prefer to have avoided without even so much as a crack or a chip. The wide mouth is something of a standard size at this point and Ball brand is as well known and supported as they come these days, so I've had no troubles finding extra lids or reusable tops or other things for them. My vacuum sealer fits them perfectly and seals up nice and tight. I guess if I was to change one thing about them, it would be nice if the UV resistant jars weren't so rare or so expensive. These, of course, aren't, or at least not any more so than other ordinary glass. Otherwise these are just great though. Store them somewhere dark and your stuff should keep forever.

They are mason jars! What's not to like. I bought the large ones to store extra flour in so I can freeze it(all flour has the potential to have little bugs that will produce eggs which eventually hatch, freezing prevents this). The smaller ones are for making sauce again to freeze. To make refrigerator pickles and kimchi. I don't actually do canning.

The wide mouth mason jars are just as I expected them. The price was very good, as I shopped around and did not find any other place with a price near the one from WalMart. Delivery was fast and all jars arrived safe and in great condition. Will purchase from them again!

I love using mason jars for food storage. The pint size is great to use as a drinking glass, storing left overs and canning of corse. The quart size also. The half gallon. is great for soups, making iced tea or coffee, real lemon aide, fermenting veggies, making refrigerator pickles. Another thing is being glass you can see what's in thr jar without opening it. Take the lid off and it goes into the microwave. So many uses ,not enough space to write about it.

LOVED but it was delivered to my home same day for free. Crazy though that I ordered two different sizes of canning jars and they were delivered separately by two different (lovely) people which seems like a waste of energy and time and lack of organization. But overall, I was thrilled.

You can't go wrong with mason jars, they're so versatile. They were delivered in good condition. I'll be using them for food storage and things like that, but you could use them for just about anything. If you have mason jars and duct tape, you can do everything.

We been trying to migrate to glass (made in US) for storing cooked soups that can be frozen, too, as well as salads liquids, and sauces that we refrigerate. BALL GLASS MASON JARS are much cleaner and free of chemicals that plastic containers carry. While they are breakable, they are superior storage options, and dishwasher-safe. Easy to create your own labels at home, or you can buy the Ball Labels. No staining from tomatoes or other acidic food, and perfect for storing dry kitchen essentials such as nuts, chocolate chips, etc. I definitely recommend purchasing the other sizes that Ball offers, in order to accommodate smaller amounts.

They're mason jars. How bad could they be. All the lids fit and the seals were fine. The rings did rust when I left them in the dishwasher after washing them but most of it came off when I wiped them dry. I am using these mostly for pantry staple storage and not for pickles or canning.
