Mainstays Adjustable Tension Shower Curtain Rod, 36" - 60", Easy to Install, No Drilling, White

I purchased this in hopes that those few were wrong. And, they were wrong. This is a quality piece and functions as advertised and is built of quality components. I don’t know what other people received but it had to be different than this to write those negative reviews, this is something that I would buy again and again. See my picture.

This shower curtain rod is exactly what I needed. It was super easy to install and feels very sturdy once in place. It stays secure without slipping, even with a heavier curtain, and the adjustable length made it a perfect fit for my bathroom. The finish looks clean and modern, adding a nice touch to the space. Great quality for the price and definitely worth it. I would absolutely buy this again and recommend it to anyone needing a reliable shower curtain rod. 🚿✨

It’s inexpensive and looks good because it’s new. I’m not a big fan of tension rods in general and couldn’t get it to feel completely secure, even after tightening it several times. In my bathroom there are ledges that would stop it from falling, so it works for me. For the price, it’s okay.

It would not stay up in my shower, it kept falling. I finally got it to stay maybe the tile is too slick. I won’t purchase again I think for a very light weight curtain it would be ok, my liner is a tad heavy so I will go with something better if this falls again.

This is the worst tension rod I’ve ever used in my life. While I know tension rods are never going to be as good as fixed, I have lived my life with various tension shower rods that did the job. I’ve used all the tips, tricks, and hacks that worked on previous rods and this rod just won’t stay up. It can’t even hold itself up let alone a flimsy shower curtain. Do not buy this.

I fought with this for about 30 minutes to get it to tighten at all. After I finally got it to stay, I put the shower curtain and liner on and it fell. This thing has no tension to hold. I wished I could return but I threw the wrapper away. I will go back tomorrow for another brand. Don’t buy this!

I used this rod to put up my shower curtain and after about a week the shower curtain rod started falling down. every time I would put it back up and twist it to get it tight somehow it untightened and would fall down. I don't recommend this shower curtain rod which is sad because I've always bought mainstay shower curtain tension rods before and they've always stayed up. this is the second one I've bought in the past couple of months that will not stay up...

This is not a true tension rod as it has no spring. It works ok if you have a textured wall, but if the wall is tiled, this rod will not stay up. It isn't possible to create enough tension for it to stay up with a tiled wall. It just slides all over the place. I definitely would not buy it again.

At 63 years old and having rented most of my life, I've seen a lot of shower curtain rods. This was the worst one I've ever used, by far. My husband and I both tried, twisting the rod as per the instructions, to securely tighten it so it would stay up. After each attempt, it held anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days before crashing down, even when no one was in the room. I've replaced it with another brand that cost a little more and, several days later, is still firmly in place, so we are not the problem! I think this is just a poorly designed waste of money. I immediately discarded the packaging when I saw how nice it looked, thinking, "It seems well made, it has high ratings and anyway, how badly could they screw up a shower curtain rod?" Well, now I know. It's on its way to a landfill with all the other useless junk that doesn't work or doesn't last. Don't waste your money, time and frustration on this sad piece of trash.

In a month fallen 3Xs. It says TENSION. It’s not the spring tension that I’m used to (push in %26 release). You have to TWIST it to tighten. The wall is as smooth as glass, so it should grip. My husband tightened it twice. No luck. Very disappointed.
