Mainstays Basic Hand Towel, Soft 100% Cotton and highly absorbent Hand Towel, Green

I was curious about the difference between the “Performance” Mainstay towels and the regular Mainstay towels, so I did a little comparison. Performance has slightly more material, the color is richer (in black, anyway), and it’s a bit softer (at least before 1, 10, or 50 wash cycles). I think either will work great, though the Performance are indeed, slightly more premium. I hope this helps others curious shoppers purchasing online.

I bought these only to used to drive the countertops in my bathrooms and kitchens from water splash. I was surprised at the Quality and softness and occasionally by myself using them for and towels and face towels after washing. they retain their soft texture, have remained pure white after several washings and are lint free. certainly a go to for any use other than formal towels.

I bought 3 of these hand towels for my main hallway bathroom that gets a lot of use on a daily basis. I didn't want to spend alot so I thought I would try these. Well, they have turned out to be really nice. I wash them very frequently and they have held up well and have good absorbency. These are perfect for a high use bathroom (think kids and their friends using frequently) and the price is so affordable you can buy several and try different colors.

I do not like thick washcloths or towels. So these Mainstays washcloths and hand towel fit the niche. They are pretty thin no not luxury by any means but I like them for my purposes. One drawback is that they are a bit stiff and not real soft. Odd because they are cotton. What I would expect for the price

These towels are perfect for the price. They are slightly thin which is why I gave it 4 stars but they are still wonderful, durable hand towels. I have had mine for about 2 or 3 months now and have washed them a few times. They still look like they did the day that I bought them. They didn't bleed, didn't shed. The stitching is still in tact. I bought the purple (lilac) and the grey and they are very true to color. I have 2 different type of racks that they are hung on. The first is the circle rack next to the sink. It only takes 1 and it fills the rack so you can wash your hands and quickly dry them (they dry your hands nicely). The other rack is your standard towel rack. I bring it up because they are a little smaller for the towel rack (width wise) so I should have ordered more to fill the rack width wise because it looks silly. Other wider hand towels filled the rack but 2 of these towels did not, I should have ordered 4. I hope that makes sense. Regardless they are definitely worth it if you are on the fence.

this hand towel did not have the border on both sides as illustrated. I was using this to lay on top of a dresser so now it is uneven. the bath towel has it on both sides but the hand towel did not. so it did not satisfy my needs but I will keep it because it is not worth sending it back. it was also not as black as it showed in the advertisement

I love these towels just because the price for the quality is amazing. But just like the bath towels you have to wash them alone several times to get the lint off. Like.. it’s not a little lint, if you don’t get it all off it will stick to your body post shower/ after you wash your hands. The color is perfect jet black like it’s described as. (Pictured next to a sports drink for an idea of size.)

I was hoping the hand towels were as soft as the matching bath towels I previously bought. The four I received were coarse textured and horribly faded. Like used for five years faded. They actually look gray compared to the black bath towels! Disappointing.

I received these TODAY, washed them to put in the camper, literally the FIRST WASH and the turquoise one frayed, and pilled . the tan ones look like I have been using them for years. Navy blue are ALL pilled None of these towels have even been used once. they have only been washed once, never used . I recommend avoiding them unless you need rags

Do not buy! Zero stars because the quality is so bad. You can see through these towels and they feel like sandpaper. There were so many threads hanging off the towel all over it and it was loaded with thread pulls. Really poor quality control. I should have returned them. Will use it as a cleaning rag and throw it out. Don't waste your money.
