I cannot comment on the tear to fit as I did not have to resize. Easier to clean than blinds and less dust collection for those with allergies. However, the return mechanism for raising the shade needs improved. It does what it's supposed to do but you have to do it just right when pulling and releasing. I have had roller shades in years past and they were not this finicky. I ultimately chose to return these as others in my house may not be patient enough to use these.
I was a bit skeptical about the tear off function but it worked great and gave a straight cut of the shade. Pretty amazing. Measuring was slightly difficult but I got it done correctly. I had to tear off an additional 3/8 of an inch for it to fit in the window frame so you have to be a little bit handy and precise. It's not as simple as having someone cut them at the store, bring them home and hang them. That's why I gave installation 4 stars. For $10.50 a shade, I thought they were great. I don't know what people were complaining about regarding the tension spring. They have to roll the shade back up before putting it in the brackets. Also, I didn't see anywhere what the minimum size can be. It is 25 inches. So I just made it. Would definitely purchase again.
These shades are cordless and so easy to adjust the width!! Just measure, mark and then tear! Adjust the rod by pushing in the desired amount and you have a shade all ready to put up! Brackets are easy to install and the shades mount either INSIDE or OUTSIDE of the window. They can be used to block the sun on a porch or in a bedroom window. No cord to deal with! I highly recommend these tear to fit roller shades to anyone who is looking to decorate on a budget and still want a decent look and quality for your room.
I have been searching for quality window shades that are easy to install., ease in replacement of material in the event that is needed in the future, and reasonably priced. @$10 per shade this was a perfect deal. They were delivered less than 10 hours after I purchased online and I have just installed 2 within 30 minutes with adjustment of size. I was hesitant about the cut and tear but it actually works perfect. Highly recommend.
This roller shade was easy to install. Just measure, tear to fit, and it's ready to go. You do need tools to install the brackets, but the whole process is still quick and straightforward. It fits perfectly, blocks out the light, and has a clean, simple look. Best of all, it's easy on the wallet. A great budget-friendly solution that works well!
These shades are a good deal and value. They are not blackout, and do shade a LOT. The only issue is make sure you get the right measurements before tearing them. The hooks are also NOT the steadiest and can let the shade pull out when lowering or raising them. Still for the price a great deal.
was really easy to size the shade to fit my window and it keeps the light out especially at night when I don't want my shadow showing from outside in the window. What I don't like is when you roll the shade down, it does not automatically spring back. I always have to manually roll the shade back up
I would love to give this a five star review, because I absolutely love the “old-fashioned type “shades. Unfortunately, I have many windows in this house and haven't really decided what I want or can afford to do. Since this is a very traditional southern cottage type home, I thought it would be great to start out with the roller shades to at least 1) put something on the windows and 2) hopefully keep them and just add fabric panels down the road. The problem is, I have purchased multiple shades and had to return multiple shades. I have one sitting by my front door now that needs to be returned. Everything goes smoothly until you go to push the pole in (to the desired with of the window ) It will will start to go and then randomly stop not allowing you to go any further. Thus, it won't fit your window. I'll pick up another one that I purchased, do exactly the same thing and it works just fine. There's no rhyme or reason it appears. I have a shade on my window now that everything as far as cutting it down and installing it went great. Unfortunately, it won't roll up. It's frustrating. I wish we could go back to the old-fashioned way of doing things. Where you go to a store, pick what you want and a customer service rep actually helps you by cutting it down with a machine and finishes it off so it's installable when you get home
Terrible quality as neither of the 2 shades would roll back up so they are essentially useless. One I unrolled to the end trying to get the spring to engage and roll back up only to discover half of the shade was not even attached to the roller so I had to tape it together and manually roll it up to uncover the window. So NO I would not recommend this product.
Very difficultand time consuming to try and adjust the blinds to fit, they also dont pull down to open very well, if I would have known the difficulty of installing them I would not have bought them I have only hung one (out of the 5) because they are so difficult to hang
