Mainstays Chrome Metal Shower Curtain 12 Count

These wire chrome shower curtain rings have so many uses. Not only are they great for the shower curtain but I use them out on my screened in porch. Here in the desert the temps can get a grueling 125 plus on some days. I use these to hang curtains up along with the screens for summer. This help me to have a comfy porch been in such high heat. I also use them for the many different kinds of lighting I have on the porch and for other displayed items.

I use these to hang bags, light weight things. I don't use for shower curtain.

I use them to hang my art supplies and as Key chains. They are numerous creative ways you can use them other than as shower curtain hooks. They are very versatile and easy to Hook and unhook if you're concerned with some mobility issues with your hands.

this review is for the WIRE CHROME SHOWER HOOKS, 12 PIECE by MAINSTAYS. the measurement of these standard shower hooks are 2 1/2" inches in length and 1 1/2" inches at its widest point which is that will encompass your shower rod. the front of the shower hook package doesnt specify that these are chrome or plated but on the reverse side, the material content says: metal, but then above the UPC code it specifys CHROME, followed by a set of letters and numbers. made in china. the hooks are strong and sturdy, and they are plain in appearance. to open them to hang the curtain, you only need to squeeze the middle part of the hook so it moves to the side. hang the curtain, then squeeze it back into its slotted spot. these hooks are great if you have a window in your bathroom and need to hang a curtain there as well as for the shower rod. these hooks do not contain any roller balls on top of them so when you pull the curtain, the hooks will drag across the shower rod. if your shower rod is made of basic metal, then this dragging will cause scrapes on the rod and then the rod begins to have rust build up. these shower hooks can also be used on a secondary shower rod above your existing rod where you would hang a styish type curtain that isnt used for showering but for jazzing up the showering area. these MAINSTAYS WIRE CHROME 12 PIECE SHOWER HOOKS will last many years and not need to change them.

I received the Mainstays Wire Shower Curtain Hooks for completing an honest review of the product. The 12 hooks have a polished steel mirror finish and are made of rust resistant metal. The hooks are easy to install (they open) and would fit up to a 1-1/8 inch rod. These hooks are economically priced and work well for shower curtains or for other curtains when using a 1-1/8 inch cafe curtain rod. They are great if you need a temporary curtain and use with one of the expandable, spring rods that fit tight to the window frame with no nails/screws. You can even use an old sheet and punch holes in the top to insert the hooks. I have done that several times over the years when I moved and needed immediate, temporary window coverings in a bedroom or bathroom. I have recommended these to friends/relatives over the years. I continue to keep a package on hand as these hooks have multiple uses besides hanging curtains – key rings, hangers, fasteners. Great item to keep in your tool chest.

I am writing this review on the Wire Chrome Shower Hooks, 12 Piece by Mainstays. I am not a big fan of these. Mostly I just dont like the look of them. I felt they look like cheap skinny little wires. I would only use these in like a public shower scenario or something where I was trying to go as cheap as possible. I actually preferred the plastic ones that I replaced with these. And these are much noisier. For those reasons I would personally not recommend them.

I would not recommend this item it was difficult to use hard to open and the Edges were very sharp maybe if they were smoother edges it would appeal to older buyers it was also hard to apply to the shower rod
