Mainstays Cooling Zippered Pillow Protector, Standard/Queen, White

I bought this to protect my husband's pillow and there is definitely a cooling sensation to the fabric. The material is soft and has plenty of room for a king size pillow. I love that i can zip it open and closed and wash it instead of the pillow. Win, Win!

Definitely stays cooler than without it. So if you are a hot sleeper i recommend this case. We also have a cooling pillow so I'm not sure if thats why it works so well. But you touch it and it's actually cool to the touch. The boyfriend is a hot sleeper and he has slept so much better since getting this.

So far, this item is performing nicely. The fit is fairly snug. I wish mattress covers fit this well. I use a pillow case over this item to keep it clean longer. Sleeping seems to be better, but that may be because of the cooler temps in the house this time of year. The material this item is made with is better than most of the ones I have purchased in the past. Haven't had to wash it yet, so can't comment on that yet.

I initially bought these mainly for the zipper to replace a set of Mainstays open-ended microfiber cooling pillow cases because the silky material of my cooling pillows made them slip out easily. These noticeably boosted the performance of my cooling pillows (moreseo than the microfiber cooling pillowcases). I stay cooler longer. Unsure whether these will make as big a difference on a regular, non-cooling pillow. Quite a nice feel to them. Very close to my satin pillow cover, but ever-so-slightly more textured. The only downside is that the material is understandably a bit thin, so I can see the blue striations of the cooling pillow underneath. Not a big deal, and the pattern looks totally fine, but this might be something to keep in mind if you keep your pillows out in the open. This is a pillow PROTECTOR, not a pillow CASE, but it can totally serve the same purpose.

Washed it right away, it dried quickly. Too large for my pillow but it did provide a cooling experience and I wear a scarf and CPAP headband nightly around my head, connected to my equipment. No sweating thru scarf or band. Felt refreshed when I woke. No tossing or turning or removing headband. Will buy again, so I have backup pillow case.

Really liked that it worked as stated and was easy to clean. Have helped me get restful sleep. inhibits head, neck sweats. Wakeup to fresh pillow. Bought multiples, so they can be readily available.

I ordered the ones that showed waterproof due to having expensive pillows and on the way for surgery to remove cancer on my scalp and didn't want pillow damage. After surgery when we got home my wife discovered they were not waterproof so we put them over the pillows but first put two older cases first for extra protection. Now a week later tomorrow she has had to spray all of them and soak and then wash. Not happy with the obvious substitute.

This is not a bad product, it's OK, but some of the reviews are suspect--here's why. Who puts a protector on a pillow and then doesn't cover that with a regular pillow case? If you use the protector alone, you're head is resting on 100% nylon (sweaty, not cool) and you're dealing with an exposed and uncomfortably large zipper. On the other hand, If you do in fact put a pillow case over the protector, then claims, like "I don't wake up with pillow hair", etc. strain credibility. I'm using the protector and it does the job, but the quality is average and I have doubts about it's longevity.

The “cooling” sensation isn't noticeable if you have a pillow case over the cover. Also the cover is very slippery so my pillow wants to work its way out of my pillow case every night. I wouldn't recommend.

I'm sorry, but this thing isn't protecting your pillow from anything. But maybe hair and dead skin. I bought 2 and definitely should've gotten one to test it out. Also I typed in.. 😐🤌 "body pillow, protector." i'm not really sure why this popped up, but the smallest pillow I have Is the only one that really fits in there ₩ITHØŲŦ overstressing, the zipper.
