I set mine on top of my microwave when not in use and the cord is still Long enough to have it plugged in. Its easy to clean and love the big knobs. Inly disadvantage is that the dial temp marks disappeared when I cleaned my burner but other than that it heats up super fast and would recommend buying.

I have been using mine since November, every day as my main stove top. Although she's a little clunky and maybe not the most fashionable one, but she puts in work and still gets my meals made❤️ (I do have an oven and told my landlord that the connection is messed up, yet here I am surviving off this mainstays double electric burner

i don't know how much better they can be without costing a fortune. this worked great while our kitchen wae being renovated and we were without a stove for a couple of months because an electrician had to come in and do a lot of rewiring 10" is as large of a skillet that you can use. i made spaghetti and chicken alfredo. fried chicken tenders did very well it cooks evenly we used almost daily for the last month of renovations after my crockpot broke during everything and it was a life saver. it did seem like when using two burners, the cooking just took longer. like both eyes didn't get as hot when working together. we will definitely keep this for future camping because while only 30 days, that is a lot of cooking on something like this and i am quite impressed with it. it definitely exceeded my expectations

I love this little gem. Pasta actually cooked better on this. i love the even heating due to the solid heating plates. it warmed up as wuickly as any electric stove I have ever cooked on. i am seriously contemplating getting another. I would highly recommend to any one looking for anything like this!

Unit is well constructed ,, with side indentions to make easy to carry. Very easy to clean. I made spaghetti first thing and it all went well. Seemed to not heat quickly but will need to cook something else to compare. In boiling water it is difficult to gauge expectations. Thanks Mainstay for making a good solid kitchen appliance.

It seems to be heavy duty . Was heavier than I expected. Takes a few minutes for the water to boil . I put the lid on it and that helps . But when it gets hot it is great to cook on. I like the burners because easier to clean than the ones with the coils . So far its ok.

Worked great. It doesn't get quite as hot as a normal stove of hi but it definitely does what it needs to do and does it well. Just beware: The ceramic heat pads stay hot for a long time after turning the burner down, so you could easily burn some of your food if you aren't careful. I am happy with the purchase

When my stove quit working in February, I needed an affordable solution fast. I ordered this Mainstays Double Burner through Walmart , and it has truly been a lifesaver. Setup couldn't be easier—just plug it in and start cooking. It heats up quickly, and the temperature controls are simple to use. I typically use a 10-inch T-fal pan, even though the packaging recommends cookware up to 8 inches, and it still works well. One thing I like is that these are not traditional exposed coil burners. Instead, the heating elements are sealed with a smooth protective coating, making them easier to wipe clean than standard coil-style burners. Keep in mind that this is an electric burner, so it won't perform exactly like a gas stove. Boiling water takes about 20–25 minutes on the large burner at the highest setting, but it gets the job done. I've successfully made soups, including large pots of pozole, and it's been reliable for everyday cooking. One thing I don't recommend is frying. The burner cycles on and off to maintain temperature, so the oil doesn't stay consistently hot. I was able to fry food, but it took much longer than it would on a regular stovetop and wasn't worth the extra time. The burners also stay hot for quite a while after being turned off and unplugged. Since I have mischievous cats, I cover the burners with a metal cake pan while they cool to help prevent accidental burns. It would have been nice if protective burner covers were included. Another tip: remove your pan as soon as you're done cooking because the retained heat will continue cooking your food and can easily burn the bottom of your pan. Speaking of my cats, they managed to knock the burner off the surface I had it sitting on. The metal trim around the edge ended up with a noticeable dent, but the unit itself kept working perfectly. It didn't crack or stop heating, which impressed me and speaks to its durability. I've used both burners at the same time, and while they do work together, I prefer using just the main burner because heating is noticeably slower when both are in use. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price. Whether you need a temporary replacement while waiting for a new stove, an extra burner for holidays, or a portable cooking option for travel or hotels, this double burner is a practical, durable, and dependable choice.

Mainstays has really good products. Quality is always better than most other brands. The only concern on this void top is the on time to full heat is extremely slow. Beyond that it is a good unit. It is the second one I have owned.Highly recommend the product department work on this issue 1) on to full heat way too slow. 2) heat max needs to me a bit higher to boil water. Otherwise the design is good. Thanks.

never received this item on orders 2000141-01422820 (driver delivered to wrong address) reordered on 2000141-85572716 and did not receive item. hold on account shows as 67.40. Got reimbursed one the first order, but not second order. Second order stated not available.
