Mainstays Framed 5-Shelf Bookcase with Adjustable Shelves, True Black Oak

Easy assembly as far as I'm concerned! I'm using it in my closet for storage. But I must say, it was difficult handling this heavy box by myself. I struggled although having a dolly to bring it upstairs to my apartment. Please take a note of the warning on the box. It's safer for two people at least to carry this box. Thank goodness we have an elevator in the building.

The item is as described, easy assembly and clear instructions. The unit is partilce board but surprisingly sturdy. No wobbling or unsteadiness. I chose the Expresso color and it matches my furniture perfectly! It easily can hold said amount of CDs %26 DVDs,etc. Very satisfied with this purchase. It is definitely worth it's price. I recommend this product.

We've bought several of these and probably need one more. My husband typically doesn't have much trouble putting these together, so we're likely purchase the next one soon. They are particle board, so not as sturdy as a solid wood bookcase, but we've had various ones over the years and even moved with them and they've typically held up pretty well. So we're looking forward to having this one around for quite a while.

This is a nice bookcase for the price point. It is particle board and even though I was careful I did chip one of the shelves. I mixed some acrylic craft paint in a similar color with wood glue and flattened it down and painted it. You cannot see the chip now. Overall, good value.

I read up on a lot of reviews before deciding to place an order for 3 units and Did experience a delay on the delivery aspects because I wanted them the next day due to company coming in for the weekend. Confirmation by texting gave me time and date for the pickup There evidently was a communication mixup between the store and the delivery options, because when I drove to my local store to pickup the 3 I had requested as in- store , I was informed that I had canceled my own order. Actually Walmart had canceled my in-store order and reordered it as a shipped order without texting or emailing the change of status. It turned out ok because it was only a 1 day delay, even considering the inconvenience of driving and gas costs to the supercenter 20 minutes away. My husband had no complaints or complications during the construction process. Now all I need to add are the books and make sure from now on to make sure of where my orders are arriving next time I place a pickup from the neighborhood store.

I thought this would ve an upgraded version of the regular Mainstays bookshelf. the materials for this models are of poorer quality. by the time I had the shelf assembled, there were many spots where the partical board split and/or the finish was cracked and damaged. I won't re-purchase this model.

They look pretty good and not expensive but they need to do a better job with the instructions, and the quality of the backboard is very cheap. They also need to put something to guide you to hammer the nails in the correct place. I damaged the front of my bookshelf because I didn’t know where I was hammering.

they shorted me parts and I cant teach them to get replacements and walmart refused to help. it says do not return to walmart under any circumstances but that was all walmart was willing to do all i needed was teh weirdly sized dowels and cams replaced as they shorted me several of both but zero help offered DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The top half doesn't line up with the bottom half. I've been trying to get this corrected for over a month now. I tried to call the manufacturer but they are only open 8-5 M-F Eastern Time so there is a 3 hour time difference for us. When I finally found the right time to call them, they were super nice and sent new H and I parts, however, same problem. Now I unassembled it and I'm going to try and return to store without box and order another brand. Hoping they take it back.

Just bought at the end of March and this is how it looks today idk if my kids have too many books or what but I am completely completely completely upset! The shelves sit on top of pegs and the shelves sometimes slack to one side even when dispersed so the shelves wouldn't be as heavy still ended up falling and leaning I planned to get more than one glad to see how this one holds up before I buy more. Quality isn't as good as I hoped
