Mainstays Harrington 6 Drawer Dresser, Washed Oak

Thia dresser is a great deal, and it is sturdy and nice looking. The box was so heavy that we had to help the delivery person get it off the truck.The cost is reasonable because you have to build it. The assembly took about 2 hours for my husband and I. It wasn't difficult but there are a ton of parts. Everything was well labeled and clear, and it fit together well.

At first, I was very skeptical because of the bad reviews, however. I'm SOO glad I took a chance and ordered 2. Overall. assembly was extremely easy. Many pieces already had the metal/connecting pieces in them, so it was only a matter of putting them together and tightening what needed to be tightened! Instructions were easy to follow, and if holes aren't aligning, then it might just be user/assembler error 🤷🏻‍♀️. The quality of the product is pretty good, however, when shipped, both dressers got minor damages on them, but not bad enough to where I would feel the need to replace or return them. Additionally, minor damages did not affect the overall function of the dressers. Happy with my purchases, just wish I could've bought them in store.

I really like this dresser. I got a little confused by the directions when assembling the drawers, but I quickly fixed my mistake. Definitely read the instructions before assembly and line up the pieces that go with each drawer before putting together. Otherwise, the appearance and overall look and function of the dresser is amazing. I would recommend.

Nice just a heavy box! One piece was cracked

Assembly was extremely hard and screws didn't line up with the holes. once you get it together you should not have to move it at all because it is very flimsy. build and put it together in the place that it will stay without having to move it around. very nice color and hoping it lasts me for a while but wish I could return this item to pick me something different :-(

The holes did not line up, therefore I had to drill my own holes to get the drawers to slide properly. Caused assembly to take forever, and now the dresser is scratched up and has extra holes in it and it doesn't slide right.

I am so disappointed with this dresser, we bought the matching nightstands and they were beautiful, easy to assemble with no issues. This dresser though has caused me an insane amount of stress. Putting it together is a nightmare and the not all of the drawers can even fit in properly due to the center piece holes not aligning properly. So now I have a partially assembled dresser %26 At this point it's basically just falling apart. I would love a refund to be able to buy a dresser that actually works and fits together properly.

This has been one of the worst purchases I have made. The item arrived damaged, however the damaged pieces were primarily internal ones so I assembled the dresser anyways. It was flimsy at best. I then tried to figure out the return process since the dresser is broken and useless to me. I first asked for replacement parts, which they said they could not offer. Walmart offered a 20% refund, which I declined due to the state of the dresser. They then said I would have to return it to the store. When I explained that the dresser is nearly 200lbs and would not fit in my vehicle, they offered for a Fed Ex pick up but stated I would have to disassemble the dresser and repackage it. I told them it took me 3 hours to assemble and the box it arrived in was damaged beyond use in shipping. Finally they arrived at a freight pick up, which they said the 3rd party freight company would pick it up sometime in the next 5 days. They literally told me to leave a 5' long, 200lb dresser out on my porch for the next 5 days and hope a freight company truck comes to get it. This has been absolutely insane and I won't be buying furniture from Walmart again.

This item came completely falling apart, there were nails sticking out, pieces placed backwards from manufacturing, pieces of wood already split and splintered. Cheaply made, cheaply put together, not a good item at all.

This is the first time I've ever written a negative review. When I've read critical furniture reviews, I just figured people dont know how to follow directions and put things together. Well, as many have mentioned in earlier reviews, there's something wrong with the center board alignment that results in the right side being too tight and the drawers not being able to close. An earlier comment from last Sept, I believe, stated the same. I lauged when I read it. I've put together tons of furniture in my life. I know how to put stuff together and troubleshoot if something is a little off. There's no remedy for this. This was the worst ever. Some have had no issues so maybe there was a bad batch, I don't know. Sad because it looks great, there's just a serious flaw with the construction of it. I know the price is great, so maybe some might try to roll the dice and hope they get a good one. If they do, Good luck.
