Mainstays Oversized Collapsible Steel Clothes Drying Rack, Silver

This clothes drying rack exceeded my expectations. It's very sturdy, easy to assemble, and the color looks great in any setting. I've used it both indoors and outside, and it handles either environment with no issues. Simple to use and reliable—I definitely recommend it!

This Product Is Great! I bought 2 of them because our electrica dryer quit and we had 2 loads of wet cloths. Walmart delivered two units is just 3 hours and it took only 5 minutes to assemble each one! The pieces literally click together, no tools required. There is lots of rack space as the picture shows. For example, the top has 4 rows of rods, it holds lots of washclothes, socks and handkerchiefs. It has a center rod that allows towels to be split 10" for fast drying. These racks are very easy to collapse and store and are approximatly a 12"x48"x4" package. 2 loads dried inside the house in about 8 hours, overnight. This would be great for apartments which charge a lot for using the dryer.

I hang dry all my husband's and my clothes, so I've ended up needing two of these. It's pretty sturdy (though he did bend the first one using it to help him stand up), very easy to assemble, and folds down nice and compact. My husband wears 3X shirts and the rungs on this are wide enough to open his shirts all the way to prevent wrinkles. Very pleased!

Overall, I like this drying rack. I have another one that can fit more clothes and has some other features, but this rack takes up less space and is easier to set up and move around. As much as I like my other rack, I think I’ll use this the majority of the time. The rack is easy to assemble, and it folds up fairly small (35.5” x 21.75” x 4”). Aside from the four bars across the top, there are 7 other bars to hang clothes on. I primarily dry t-shirts on my rack and my main concern was that there would not be enough room between two levels to hang shirts without them overlapping (I’m a fairly tall and big guy). However, there’s just enough room (14.75” between levels) so that my shirts slightly touch but don’t overlap, which works for me. I’m giving this four stars instead of five because of the following two negatives: (1) the bottom 3 bars aren’t useful for me because they are too close to the ground. The bottom middle bar is 7 3/8" from the ground, and the two bottom outside bars are 14.75” from the ground, which means my shirts would brush against the floor. (2) It can be a little difficult to collapse the rack. There are two points at the top where a bar snaps into place, and I have to use a bit too much force to get one side to come back out.

At first when I saw all the parts I was intimidated, but the whole thing popped together in like 30 seconds. The rack does seem a little flimsy, but it can definitely hold a few wet pool towels. I like the feet as to that it wont scratch my wood floors in the house.

Package arrived on time and was packaged well. However, one of the top bars snapped within a few days of using it. Not much weight was even put on it. I superglued it back, and it snapped again. Then, a different bar’s socket snapped about a week after that. Terrible quality. I’m glad it folds nicely, but the last one we had from Walmart lasted much longer and didn’t break this easily under less than 3 pounds of weight.

I was not pleased with my clothing rack. I guess for the price it kinda suited it's usefulness. It tips over extremely easy and can not hold very much weight. I would recommend this product for drying baby clothes or light under garments. The rods will bend if with just a damp towel or sweater is on the product.

I went with this one over the bamboo thinking it would be sturdier. It's not. I was happy at first because it was really easy and quick to assemble and it worked well enough for hanging things to dry. It is light so it moves around easily if you need to adjust the location. Unfortunately, in less than a week one of the bars snapped at the connector point of contact. I was just sliding it over, didn't any force as none is needed because it's so light. It was disappointing and I'll be returning it. My advice would be to just spend a little more for something sturdier and longer lasting.

Originally I found this easy to assemble, large and sturdy. I used it to air dry a cotton blanket which has been almost dried in dryer. When I remove the blanket, the to arm can off and the whole thing collapsed. The bottom arm snapped off clean. Very dissapointed!

This product was delivered very damaged. There was a gaping vertical hole, and yet, for some strange reason, the delivery person thought it was okay to drop it off. It's also interesting how they took the picture far back enough so that it's hard to actually see the large vertical hole down the side of the package. I plan on returning it. This is ridiculous.
