Please LIKE this review it you found it helpful, it helps me a lot! Thanks! First off, the ONE thing I don't like is the initial wash, which frees up a LOT of excess lint into the washer. I solve this by rinsing by hand, vigorously in a 5 gallon bucket (plain water) to loosen up the lint, then I squeeze out the water and follow up with a spin in my washer. Then I dry it in my tumble dryer which catches almost all the lint. After that, it lets off very little lint in my washer. Now that that's out of the way, let's get to why I love this towel: 1) Perfect winter towel. Wrapping up after bath time with it, feels awesome. 2) Generous size. At 5'2" this will be a large towel for everyone except the Big %26 Tall among us. 3) Nice texture. Thick and comfortable. All in all, I rate it a 4.8/5. The deduction is for the initial lint (which you must handle the way I described; you don't want that lint in your washer. So, just give a vigorous rinse in a bucket, spin in the washer and dry in the tumble dryer before use. Now, you could pay 3 times as much (or more) for a towel that doesn't have the initial lint shedding on the first wash. Is that worth your money? To me, I'd rather save the money over buying a 20 dollar towel, and just do a little pre-rinse by hand. Recommended detergent/fabric softener in a regular washer, followed by a rinse. For stains I recommend 2 cups of 3% hydrogen peroxide added to the wash water, no chlorine bleach; it eats up the fabric. Tumble dry low to medium heat. Towel lasts about 100 wash cycles, before it starts to fray, or about 1 - 3 years. Wash separately from clothes, leaves some linty residue otherwise. I have lots of these towels and washcloths, and I make sure to wash them separately from clothes. Buy it, you'll like it!
All towels shed! Just want to get that out the way. This one is lightweight, so don’t expect a warm, plush feel. As others mentioned, each side has a different texture, but both sides dry you off just fine. That’s probably why it dries so fast. And honestly, I’m not mad at not having to run my dryer forever just to dry a super thick towel. A
The towels first of all we're extremely soft. The color matched really well with my bathroom. The length of the towel was even better. We had guest for Christmas and basically they love the towels. We had a spare room set up for them with the new towels and some other items and they really enjoyed everything. My friend asked where did I get them I ended up giving her one. So now I have to buy another one
Pretty towels! Sooooft. They are 90% cotton and 10% recycled polyester which I thought it was all cotton but it's not. For the price I will go ahead and keep them as i paid $2.97 per towel. I do think it's odd that I have the hand towel (purchased separately) and the hand towel is 100% cotton so I don't know what's up with that. These are Made in India. I do think there is some light shedding.
These bath towels are exactly what I wanted. The cotton is soft and absorbent, and they hold up well in the wash without fading. I use mine for wrapping up after the gym, and it’s oversized enough to be comfortable. We haven’t tried bleaching it, but they still look fresh and maintain their color. Quick drying, cozy, and practical. It's definitely a solid choice.
Very nice towels! I liked the 2 bath sheets I ordered so much that I came back and got the rest of the set (regular towels, hand towels and wash cloths). Very soft and absorbent. They're 90% cotton, and the best quality towels I ever bought in this price range.
I am very surprised that an inexpensive bath sheet can be so soft and well constucted and 100% cotton. The color is perfect. Though I purchased this to make a drying wrap for my dog after I bathe him, I’m going to purchase the entire set for my home. This is good deal.
Mainstay is not only reasonable but higher quaility than a lot of other brands. This bath sheet is just as good if not identical to another bath sheet I bought that was %25 higher. Mainstay is very diverse in what they make and I pleased with their quality and a reasonable price. When you pay $8 and something for their high end towel and $15 for another high end towel and it is identical in quality, that says a lot.
the towel was the right color and size. That is the only good thing about it. I washed it before using it. I put it on the seat of my sofa. The fuzz kept coming off- alot! It also pulled. It was so bad that I took it off the couch %26 will probably use it for the dog.
I ordered these shipped and they arrived on my porch without a bag or box- just out in the open. They had a bad odor so I washed them thoroughly before use. They got extremely linty and the lint is all over my dryer and the laundry room. The towels have spots not that look pulled apart and worn- not at all like they're brand new. They're a good size and color that's it. I will not buy these again.
