Mainstays Reusable Mesh Coffee Filter for 8-12 Cup Makers

Was using paper filters and got tired of coffee grounds in my coffee. This works, no more coffee grounds in my coffee!

This is a typical reusable filter, well made and easy to take out once you find the handle which being black and me needed new glasses was harder than normal. Because I am OCD about grounds in my coffee I usually put a paper filter in it but for normal people it isn't necessary(I've used it both ways). Because it has a nice large opening filling is easy as is emptying it after use and it cleans well with just a swish in hot soapy water and it fits well in all drip style coffeemakers which is good because my new one didn't have a filter. I recommend it.

I love these basket filters because i feel my coffee taste better and stronger. I also like the basket more than the paper filters because the paper filters were always collapsing and then i would have coffee grounds all in my coffee. I never have to worry about that again with the basket filter. It washes out real easy and its ready for the next pot of coffee.

This is the best addition to my coffee maker. Easy to clean, stops coffee grounds from going into my coffee, and priced so right. Wish I had found out about this when I got married. 56 years ago. Live and learn. Glad Walmart taught this old dog a new trick.☺️

I have had similar ones to this design, this one feels the sturdiest of any of them. I fits perfectly in my 12 cup Mainstays coffee maker. I have no issues with it leaking any coffee into the pot.

While this little filter basket is a great idea to avoid messy paper coffee filters, this specific one allows too many coffee grounds through the mesh. I wanted to love it, but I ended up with about a teaspoon of coffee grounds in the bottom of the coffee pot. I grind my own coffee, but even on the coarsest setting this little filter wasn't up to the task. If they change the mesh to avoid coffee grounds through it would be more than worth buying

Honestly, i tried to return this item because the bottom is closed plastic, not mesh. The day after purchase, I had no other coffee filters at home and we were hit with a blizzard, so I had to give this a try or deal with a caffeine withdrawal headache during a Snow Day. I was pleasantly surprised!! It functions just fine, filters well, doesn't leak, and is easy to clean. My coffee does come out a bit stronger, but not as noticeable as I expected from something with a closed bottom. And it's much nicer than dealing with paper filters!

Product is not extremely well made. It works, but due to the flimsy construction, I hesitate to put it in the dishwasher. Also doubt it will hold up to the multiple uses per day it will see at my house. Mesh is okay, the structure is okay. Where the two materials are joined is questionable.

It was the wrong side of cup and yes, I took it back to the store and asked for my refund so I could re-order it again the right size. Hope you can send me 4- 5 cup

It has no mesh on the bottom! Water cannot dispense properly because it can only strain through the sides and the filter overflows and coffee grounds come out the top into the coffee pot or sits in the bottom of the filter. How is this still on the market?
