Okay. I LOOOOOOVE this product. It is easy to use - indoor %26 out. I don’t have to worry about gas/propane mishaps. It cooks just the way it’s intended to. Follow instructions to the T. Do not do your own thing. Oil may be pricey depending on on what kind you use. I will be frying my catfish for the Po’ Boy in this bad boy. I have fried a turkey and chickens in one of these that my Mom purchased some 10 years ago. I believe I had a 14 pound turkey. It fried to perfection. Juicy and Nicely Browned Skin. READ THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET FOR TIPS. Use an injector if you like. You don’t have to. Just season your meat and let it marinate for at least 24hours. —Let all meat FULLY DEFROST!!! CLEAN YOUR MEAT w/Lemons, rinse and pat until completely dry. Season and put in the fridge. —OIL %26 WATER/ICE DO NOT MIX! —YOU WILL GET BURNED BY SPLATTERING OIL. NO, NO, NO… THIS FRYER DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. CLEANING IS A BREEZE. LET COOL COMPLETELY AND DRAIN OIL USING THE ATTACHED SPOUT. EVERYTHING LIFTS OUT FOR CLEANING..
We've been frying our Thanksgiving turkeys for several years now. This fryer is the best one we've ever used. Oven roasted turkey is notoriously dry, hence the need for gravy. We still like gravy, but it's not required with a fried turkey. This fryer is very easy to use. The controls are very easy. Andy cleanup is easy as well. You won't go wrong with this one.
Best Turkey fryer ever made I have brought 4 of them in the last two years and they are still cooking my sister and my family love it if you have the peanut oil and a turkey this thing will make sure that every turkey you fry comes out perfect 6 minutes per pound and I usually do 15 extra minutes just because I like my turkey a little extra crunchy but it’s always a perfect meal each time I cook with it, if you don’t have it already I don’t know what you are waiting for it the best thing invented since the 🚗 I give it 11 *********** start’s because it has never fried me yet!
Third attempt to get a turkey fryer and we hit the bullseye with this one! My husband loves friend turkey but at near $100 per turkey in our area, he decided to start frying his own. Description of this fryer was spot on....14 pound turkey fits fine and is done in 45 minutes. So far, he's done two turkeys with excellent results. We are very satisfied with this product! It works as expected and the price point is excellent considering the prior two were $900 and $500 ranges.
I have always wanted to fry a turkey myself and as I was shopping for turkey fryers I saw this Masterbuilt, OMG best choice EVER! This Masterbuilt XL is so amazingly easy to work and all of the pieces come apart for easy cleaning! It also steams and broils. I MUST HAVE!
I've never fried a turkey in it, but I love it. I use it to make large batches of French fries, pierogies, onion rings, and other fried foods. We have a large family and I want one basket to feed the whole family. When one basket is filled with french fries it's enough to feed six people.
My husband wanted a larger fryer, and this one is enormous. We were able to fry a 16-pound turkey in just 30 minutes. It has many advantages, but there are also some drawbacks. One downside is the time it takes to heat up and the amount of oil required. We had to wait nearly an hour for the oil to get hot. However, once it does reach the right temperature, it gets extremely hot! You will definitely need a heat-resistant glove when working with this machine. We understand it’s large, but it requires 2.5 gallons of oil, which is quite a lot.
I was very excited To try this invention, I thought it would be cool because I have watched so many reviews and videos about it. What I ended up learning once I tried the device was that I had a 14 pound turkey, that cooked everywhere but except the top. I had To turn the turkey over for the turkey to get completely done. My turkey turned out very dark and it was not crunchy at all. The taste of the turkey was very juicy but it was not what I expected it to be. I filled it up to the max line and it did not completely cook the turkey. I was very, very disappointed.
Extremely Disappointed – Completely Failed on Thanksgiving I purchased this turkey fryer specifically for Thanksgiving, and unfortunately it failed at the worst possible moment. After following all the instructions carefully and double-checking every connection, the unit simply would not heat up. We tried troubleshooting for nearly an hour, but nothing worked. What was supposed to be the centerpiece of our holiday meal turned into a last-minute scramble to cook the turkey another way. It caused a lot of stress on a day that should’ve been enjoyable. The build quality looks fine, but if the fryer can’t perform the one job it’s designed for, that doesn’t matter. I’ll be returning it and won’t be buying from this brand again unless they address these reliability issues. Save yourself the frustration—especially if you’re counting on it for a holiday or special event.
$150 Black Friday price, and you drop the price $30 dollars the next day and won’t match your own price. I will be returning over $1000 worth of items and cancelling my Walmart account. Your logistics inability has proven to be the most onerous stress inducing and have pushed me over the edge. Congratulations
