Matter Compostable 3-Gallon Drawstring Food Scrap Bags, 20 Count

I recently started buying these to line the small trash can I use to collect from my kitty's litter box. I like that they are made of recycled materials and was, at first, worried they wouldn't be strong enough for my use. That has not been the case - they come out of their box easily and they hold up when I have filled them as much as I want from the litter box. I HIGHLY recommend these bags.

These are stretchy. They are very hard to tear. They are slightly bigger than a small trash can, like a bathroom trash can.

Here in California we are required to put all food scraps into our green waste can instead of the regular trash. It can become very smelly and messy, especially during the warmer months. Because these bags are 100% compostable I can throw them away with the green waste and not have to worry about the smell or the mess.

I ordered the 3 gallon size knowing they would be over-sized. I wanted something big enough to handle heavy produce and/or meat trimmings. These. Are.Huge! I knew the measurements before ordering but I am so glad they are this large. I have used mine for buying pork shoulders in bulk, breaking them down to freeze and putting all the meat trimmings in these bags. I never did fill it up after processing two whole pork shoulders. They seem thin but the quality of the bags really did withstand the weight and bulk. Corn on the cob is in season and I don't shuck mine until after they are cooked. We had a BBQ and I cook 10 ears and these bags held ALL the husks and also the corn cobs. The drawstring hasn't ripped out during use and it is easy to seal the bag up and compost. Great, great item! I'll buy these again for sure!

These bags are a great! The 3 gallon are a perfect size for a few days to a week of food compost. I live in a state where we are required to put our food scraps in a separate bin for our trash company to pick up. These bags are compostable/bio-degradable and break down in 12 months. They are thin and very strong. I filled one with watermelon rinds and it did not split or tear. It makes recycling my food scraps easy and is easy on the environment.

I received these compostable bags on a promotion. We recycle and I love the fact that these will not be in our landfill forever like most plastic. They fit perfectly in my trash can as well. I can never find small enough bags to go in my RV bathroom trash can and this fits perfect.

I have been setting aside my compostables for a year. I reserve a spot in my freezer, and previously just lined the freezer bin with newspaper. It's a mess to get it out on garbage collection day. But not any more. Having compostable bags allows me to simply pull up on the strings of the bag and take my compostables to my outside bin - without any mess. I'd love for a wider top so that I could put it completely around the bin, but this works.

A great option. These bags seem like a good alternative compostable bags, made of natural materials, they help reduce waste. Taking into consideration that it is a compostable bag, the quality is good, although somewhat thin. Perfect for food scrap.

These are the worst bags to buy. All 20 bags tear and rip very easily just by pulling them out of the box. I wish, I can get a full refund. Buyer Beware!
