Matter Compostable 33-Gallon Lawn & Leaf Trash Bags with Drawstring Handles, 10 Count

These are awesome. If it rains the paper bags fall apart these do not it made it so easy to put out at the curb for pick up. They're very durable and I absolutely love them.

I don't usually get too picky about my garbage bags. I mean really, they're for the things that we don't want or are spoiled or whatever, but these are pretty good. I have a large garbage can in my house and I pride myself on how you can't tell I have six cats and these bags help make sure you can't smell them.

After years of drought, this year we got almost a deluge of rain for this part of California. Although very welcomed, the abundant rain has resulted in 3-5 times the number of weeds and organic refuse (expired artichoke plants, flax, etc.). While the extra plant growth has been a blessing for our Llamas, who love the weeds, the 2 acres not grazed by them would be way overgrown without aggressive weeding, trimming, pruning, etc. We attempt to compost all of our organic waste, soI was more than happy to evaluate the compostable Matter 33 gallon Lawn & Leaf bags. This 10 count of 33 gallon lawn & leaf bags comes packaged as a continuous roll, with perforations to allow separation of individual bags. As compared to other brands, these bags easily separate along the perforations. Once separated, the bag does not cling together, but opens easily. I did not find a specification of material thickness (3mil, 5mil, etc.) on the packaging or the bags themselves. However, after using these bags, I estimate their strength to be as good as or better than any heavy duty trash bags I have used. I was concerned that the biodegradable material would easily tear, rip, or puncture when loaded with yard waste that has lots of pokey sticks, branches, etc. Well, these bags did not puncture, rip, or tear. Some of our weed pullings still had damp clumps of soil attached. As we are composting, clumps of soil do not matter. However, those clumps sure add to the weight of what goes into the bags. No problem! These bags easily held up to heavy loads without splitting open or stretching. Not sure how long it will take for the composting process to take place, but it certainly is not a one or two week time window. So, I can't report on this aspect of the Matter bags, but should be able to do so in the Fall. Overall, I am impressed with the Matter Lawn & Leaf bags and certainly recommend them to others.

Bigger bags thet I thought it was, sturdy and plenty of room for leaves, grass in the mowing time , I like the color like beige , the bags are soft and are stretchy but very sturdy , I'm pretty happy tho have this as a must have in my garden section.

Love these trash bags, as I use them for everything. They come in a packaging of ten, and are made of durable material. The big plus is that they are split resistant, compostable and non-scented. I also like that they have a drawstring closure. Great for Spring cleaning!

My biggest concern when ordering compostable trash bags was whether or not they would be tough enough to handle my garden debris. I live in the city, and do not have the space to compost, so I have to bag up and throw all of my cuttings in the trash. I was worried that these bags wouldn't be able to handle tough plant stalks, that they'd poke right through, but I did a stress test and pushed my thumbnail a good two inches through these bags and they didn't break. I love the idea of being able to contribute to less plastic deaths in wildlife, and less microplastics in our environment. I only hope the price will be manageable for most households.

I've always bought the Big Warehouse store brand when getting big yard debris bags. They've been great but I wanted a small box to pack in my RV so I got a box of 10 Matter Compostable Earth Friendly yard bags. These bags seem to be superior in every way. The bags are white and are marked with print, they seem to be tougher than my store brand bags, and have a drawstring which my store brand doesn't. It a win win win for me.

The Matter compostable 33 gallon Lawn and Leaf bags a good bag. They hold alot and hold well. I didnt have many issues with ripping the day of filling them with my lawn debris. Only issue i had is i live where there is almost 0% humidity and temps above 100° so i did notice if they werent taken to dump right wlaway and sat outside for a couple weeks they didnt hold very well, they became brittle fast. Its an issue we have in the desert with most products. But overall these bags a good and did their job well.

I have been looking for compostable bags to put my leaves in this fall. I was very excited to see these 33 gallon bags, they are exactly what I need this fall. I appreciate the large 33 gallon size and and wish there was an even larger 55 gallon option.

everytime I tried to put leaves or greenery in the bags it just ripped. even the top string to close it would rip I'm not getting again wasted money
