I love my new knife set. It's really nice looking with the wood block and the stainless steel handles. The knives are extremely sharp and lightweight. They aren't too heavy like some knives that wear your hand out trying to cut with them. They're weighted perfectly for great control and easy handling. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a knife set. It comes with a knife sharpener built right into the block. It also comes with a bonus set of shears. They're really sharp and smaller than the set in the block. I would definitely buy another set of McCook knives for myself or a gift. These were actually a gift, but my husband let me choose the set I wanted and after shopping several brands these were the ones I chose

Very sharp. After first wash I cut my finger . It was my fault though, I didn't believe it was that sharp but they are!

Wish I had purchased the black one. The wood color didn't match my other acacia wood in my kitchen. Otherwise it's excellent quality and aesthetically pleasing.

The “stainless steel” is not stainless. If you let the knives air dry, they will stain. One life has 2 rust stains. Can't use it any more. The proof is I. The pics. You get what you pay for. I will return

I noticed black marks on the knives right after removing them from the box. There shouldn't be black marks on a product that I have not yet used.

I would not recommend this knife set. After less than a month the knifes have started to rust. I tried to scrub the rust off %26 didn't have much luck. The knifes are also very light in weight. I expected them to have a heavy feel to them. Do not buy or you'll be stuck with rusty knives

I used the sgears once. The shears have two rust spots after the first wash.
