This is my jam!!! If you are looking for an easy scampi sauce look no further tag this seasoning packet!!! I follow per directions as my base but then I jazz it up. First start your water for the pasta add salt and cook pasta per directions my choice is angel hair but use whatever you like. After I cook my protein in the sauce ( chicken if it's grilled or shrimp) I remove and set aside. Then I add 1 cup of chicken broth and depending what way I'm going with keeping it classic or not. I typically add a can of diced Italian tomatoes it gives it a really fresh taste. Then I add 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1/2 cup of pasta water. Mix well and let it simmer to reduce for about 5 mins or so. Then I add my protein back into the pot and toss in with angel hair pasta. Once served you can always add grated Parmesan or whatever grated cheese you like on top. This paired with a side salad and garlic bread is literally chef's kids. It literally takes 30 mins max. My family loves this dish and is one of their favorites i make at least twice a month.
Husband approved ! I used this for the shrimp and then added it to linguine and some heavy cream and Parmesan. I would of added a pic but we ate it all. Used 1 and 1/2 packets because I made too much linguine and one packet was not enough for the taste that I wanted.
This seasoning makes it possible to have a delicious shrimp scampi in our everyday meal plan. I saute a pound of raw shrimp in a butter and olive oil combination with tomato wedges and baby spinach then use this seasoning according to package directions. I serve it over linguine with a side salad, walla, a quick meal!
Since I make only 1 serving at a time I measured out the envelopes contents and used just 1/4 each time I made the recipe...Angelhair pasta,4 HUGE shrimp and approx. 1 teaspoon of seasoning....(there are 4 servings in each envelope.) Prepared in minimum time and made a scrumptious meal .
Love this spice combo! I usually make scampi without a packaged mix but this has lots of fresh flavors and recipe
I'm glad I tried this. I normally use another brand, but I'm switching to this one. Was very flavorful and it's actually worth paying more for.
McCormick seasoning mix is great for a quick dinner with any variety of pasta. Add shrimp and or chicken. Tastes great.
I went through all the preparations to make this which I didn't appreciate you have to do a lot of stuff and then it didn't taste shrimp at all, I could have just melted my own butter and garlic salt together to get the same results
The flavor is good and the use is simple, BUT the price for the amount is crazy. The price has been raised yet again… when is enough, enough? This is a single use seasoning, it's beyond greedy at this point. TOO EXPENSIVE!!!
This was another item that was missing from my mostly successful delivery. We didn't get to have this as our family meal this week. Hopefully a more reliable delivery person will bring me my entire order rather than leaving it in the street.
