McDavid Sport Injury and Pain Relief Compression Adjustable Thumb Stabilizer, Large/Extra-Large

The McDavid Thumb Stabilizer is easy to adjust with two velcro straps, one at the wrist and the other at the thumb. My hands are on the larger side with wrist measuring approx. 7" The size S/M fits snugly. The support is rigid and does an excellent job stabilizing the thumb and joint. The material seems heavy duty, while still allowing your skin to breathe. I find it comfortable and supportive to wear. I have worn other thumb stabilizers before and this one is definitely top quality. Works great for thumb arthritis. Highly recommend.

I hurt my thumb when I fell down and it just has not recovered. It will start to feel better and then somehow it would get hit and start all over again. This has definitely helped to stabilize my thumb and it is actually starting to feel better. It fits snug. There is alot of velcro to really get a good fit on the thumb and on the wrist. The inside is soft on your skin.

I finally found a thumb stabilizer that came in 2 sizes, S/M and L/XL instead of "one size fits most." You can wear it on the left or right hand.

I have a spine problem which causes a lot of pain in my left arm, wrist and hand, the doctors say it's basically arthritis so I tried out the McDavid wrist stabilizer and it works awesome for my pain, and now I'm starting to get pain in my right thumb so I decided to give this a try and see if it works just as good and it does, it really relieves my pain and I use it all the time, goes on really easy, just velcros closed, I definitely recommend

This has helped me So much it is baking season. Which is allot more hand work. My thumb was killing me. So I slept with this on every night as well when ever I could. It is every comfortable to wear driving as well chores around the house. It's wonder full how well it works.. It even took the strain off my wrist you can use it on either hand. I encourage everyone to get one for each hand. Than you do have to choose between your hands. It is very easy to get on and off. If your thumb locks up This will help.if only they could do this for my whole body I would be first to do it.

This thumb stabilizer brace appears to be excellent. I only have occasional issues which would make its use necessary, but I believe it should help immensely when needed. The one I'm currently using is getting very old, so a replacement is in order. The large size fits well on my medium - to - large hand, and it can also be used by my spouse who has larger hands when he needs it.

I like the support it gives to the thumb, and it stays in place when working, either typing or cooking. The velcro is strong and keeps closed no matter what you are doing, and some other products lose their grip after a couple of uses, but this one doesn't. There are two straps, one at the tip of your thumb and one around the wrist. The material is soft on your skin. It is somewhat bulky, but you are trying to keep your thumb in place.

Sometime in my life I damaged my thumb. Now, very randomly, my thumb will act up occasionally and when it does, it is extremely painful and very hard to use my hand to grasp anything, even very light items (a few pounds). It usually stays around for a few days and if I take care not to use it much, it will get better on it's own. I got this brace for that reason, hoping to get around some of the pain. I haven't had a flare up since I got this brace, but I did wear it around for half a day and it does support the thumb well and a little on the wrist. Overall, I think it will help in assisting my thumb issues since it will support it and stabilize it when it is acting up.

Item would have been great if i edge of it had been finished. With the unfinished edge, it irritated my hand so much that I couldn't continue using it.

Good an bad on this one. I managed to use it on either thumb. But, I could still move it. The strap on the top doesn't seem to immobilize it that well. I couldn't get the whole wrist part tight enough to stabilize my thumb. There was still movement. So, unless it hurts to move in a certain direction, then this may be for you, but to keep it still....didn't work for me.
