Medela PersonalFit Flex Breast Shields, 21mm

perfect size

I have had the new personalfit flex breast sheilds for a little over a week now and I absolutely love them! There is no pain, no red marks. They fit over my breasts in a contour that allows for more efficient milk removal. I love everything about these flanges and I am considering purchasing another set. Highly recommend!!

So much more comfortable than the standard plastic one because of the silicone and milk does not leak on the sides of the flange because the oval shape. It hugs your breast better. I haven’t seen a noticeable increase in production but anything that makes pumping more comfortable for an exclusive pumper is already a plus.

I've used this for a work shift to figure out if I like it. I love it! It's so much more comfortable, soft, and the suction is so much better! The fact that you can turn the flange is awesome, it definitely molds to my breast so much easier - will be ordering more!

For some reason I had high hopes ordering the next size down .. thought it would help with my pumping as people have mentioned I could have the wrong size flange. According to lactation consultants they say you need to measure your nip only.. but the end of the flange —circumference wise, where the nipple inserts, is still the same size as the next size up. It really didn't end up making a difference at all, waste of time and money imo. Only thing that really changed was the overall “hugging” of the breast.. doesn't really serve any purpose there.

No complaints, I've been able to successfully pump with these shields. However I knocked off one star because I haven't noticed any increase in the amount of milk pumped, as claimed, and the shields still leak from the bottom. The older shields (at a lower price) worked equally well. And this one is still too large for my nipples, but Medela doesn't offer a smaller size (this is the pump that is covered by my insurance).

I bought the same size I've always used with success and they are too short. My nipple hits the end and began getting sore. I've read suggestions to try a different size, but I just went back to my old ones. I don't want to buy 3 sets to maybe have one be a good fit when I've already got something that works.

I was so excited to try these! I bought them and received them within about a week. I was very impressed with how comfortable they were! However, I did not get more milk than usual- and in fact found I got less. I tried them several different times because I want them to work and I want to love them. Unfortunately, they just aren't as good as the original as far as expressing more milk.

While I have to give it credit for being comfortable, it's functionally horrible. The pumped milk constantly leaks out between skin and shield, drenching my clothes. It's a terrible product.

I bought the personalfit flex shield because of the great reviews. However I was so disappointed because it does not work for me with my regular shield that came with the pump I get at least 8oz but with the personalfit flex shield I was lucky if I got a 4oz. I’m not sure if I should have gotten a smaller size. My original shields that came with the pump does wonders compare to the personalfit flex shield.
