Interesting little construction set, nice stuff.

I got this for my son for his birthday. Figured he likes the shows when he watched it with his mom, so why not. Its comes in plenty of pieces like a puzzle. Easy to read instructions and able to have family time building it. I really like Mega Construx Game of Thrones Winterfell Defense. My daughter had a great time building the characters and castle. She didn't have any trouble building it. I am very impressed with the details on this product! Everything is detailed correctly in line with the series and seems to be very well made. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and were able to hold attention of my 10 year old very well! Once the set is together, it seems solid, enough that it won't fall apart with general play. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when received was very excited ...opened box found directions easy to follow and understand ..all pieces looked well made and sturdy but there was one piece missing and a couple had extra...the missing piece was to hold a banner so didnt effect the play too much...it was really cool put together ..really need other sets or more people to make it a good play for a couple of people...but was fun for one to use out imaginations and create a play,..colors are realistic and all bright like some sets...being a Games of throne fan this was very exciting to get...Im sure will get more play as we get more sets to go with it...but shame about the missing piece ...but excited to start a new set...and have a play date after this pandemic is over and see if will hold up to teen play...thinking more of a hobby for teens but fun play for younger...

My son loves this set. I would of given it five stars, but a piece was missing. We were able to use extra pieces that we had, but it was still disappointing for my ten year old. It has lots of great features and attention to detail. My son loves that the gate locks, the top has spikes, and there was a crest that locks in place. This set was very engaging and kept him entertained for awhile. It took less than 1 hr to build, but didn't feel to easy. The directions were easy to follow and it could be built without becoming frustrated. My 10 yr old is already asking when other sets for the games of throne series will be realized so he can add to the castle. Thus far he is loving the watch tower. We received the Game of Thrones Winterfell Defense. My 10 year old needed some assistance putting it together as we had some difficulties with the instructions. When constructing it is hard to distinguish the dark colored “bricks” from the general gray colored. You have to look ahead at the pictures. Once put together my 5 year old spent hours playing with it. Winterfell is very sturdy and has lots of fun details. Jamie and the King aren't really sturdy for small hands. But they are super detailed down to Jamie's “hand.” The horse is my favorite piece. This is a great piece for collectors or for teens. Game of Thrones fans will surely appreciate it! Very disappointed with the shipping. My order arrived in a basic shipping bag. When I opened it, my order had been smashed so many times the box was opened! :(
