Super stuff. Follow the directions. You don't have to push hard or use a bunch of it. I just put it on my cloth and used prolonged circular motion. Make sure to look at "your work" from different angles...to see if you missed anything. Did it in my garage so I didn't have a bunch of dust and stuff blowing around. Then when I was happy about how clear they were I used Maguires Clear Headlight Coat spray. Apparently, Maguires makes a great product....thats saying something cause I am pretty picky. There is plenty here to do a number of cars. I loaned it to my neighbor, he did several cars, then he returned the bottle....there was STILL plenty left.
I've used many different types and brands of headlight lens cleaners and this one is probably the best, outside of redoing them completely with the appropriate McGuire‘s restoration kit. For a quick cleanup, this stuff works really really well. If you have cloudiness that's fairly deep in the surface of the lens then you really need to use the restoration kit. I have one of those and I've used it on a set of Toyota Prius headlights and it brought them back to brand new condition! Otherwise, me and Scotty Kilmer highly recommend this! 😂
This stuff is great! Just rubbed on numerous applications with a clean white shop towel and my yellowed, hazy, old looking headlights look like new. Now, about every 6 month just rub out one application of this on my headlights to keep them looking great.
I bought Meguiars PlastX to clean our golf cart windshield. Since golf cart windshields are plastic typical glass cleaners aren't recommended. The PlastX was super easy to use and made the windshield look almost new again removing all the dirt and water spots. The only blemishes that didn't come out were scratches where the lower windshield rubs against the upper windshield. Based upon the ease of use and positive results, I highly recommend PlastX for cleaning any plastic surface such as headlights, automotive mirrors and golf cart windshields.
I have an old car , it will be seventeen years old in just a few months . I have tried all sorts of stuff to help my old yellow lenses with . This stuff went on super easy , then wipes off just as easy . This made my headlights look almost new and now I can see a bunch better . I understand I need to keep applying this and it does not take up hardly any time , I'm just super happy with the results . Got old car with yellowed headlights , grab a bottle and you will thank yourself .
My dad recommended this stuff to fix some yellowed headlights and WOW!!!! Made a huge difference and is a much better place to start then the kits you buy with all the sanding and what not. Not only that it works on all the black plastic as well and can make a huge difference on an older car so give it a shot!
scratches and faded plastic headlights I use in on interior the ease of use and a little goes along way I've used several different brands of plastic restoration and headlight products this one covers all plastic even vinyl give it a try the rub on simply no tools needed and get results
Meguire's have almost all superior stuff . This stuff is simple , , just wipe it on and wipe it off.. Our headlight plastic has been maintained so there's no major scratches or oxidation but we get discolored whenever it rains, snow , freezes and this stuff is perfect. Our other vehicle required a LOT of sanding prep first due to heavy oxidation and sunburn.
Works fine for polishing headlights as expected, results are somewhat temporary but look good! Also, it mostly works if your headlights are not already in terrible condition - if they're already looking pretty rough/foggy, you'll need to resurface them first.
I use this product monthly on my aging plastic headlamp lens'. The original UV protective coating has worn off and the lens would cloud up and turn yellow without the monthly treatments. It's essentially allowing the delay of headlamp replacement which would cost about $1000. But its also allowing me to continue to use my original headlamps safely and keeps them within inspection compliance.
