Melissa & Doug 100 Wood Blocks

My not quite 2 year old just loves these blocks - it was a Christmas gift. He has learned all the colors - he shows the block and asks what the color is, if you say it wrong he corrects you. WOW! The next step is learn ing the shapes - not quite ready for that yet.

really good quality nice black good size they're fun to build with the wood is really good quality lots of construction things that you can do and of course they're learning a lot when they're building it you know and they fall and sometimes they get angry but they're learning how to laugh at it when it fails

The Melissa and Doug products I have seen always seem juuuuust right! These blocks are wooden, not fake wood, not hollow, not plastic. They're like the sturdy ones you played with when you were a kid. The color assortment is great also. The blocks are fun to build with and to knock over! Great for all ages. When a child is able to build whatever they want or feel like building, the creativity becomes satisfying.

My 2.5 year old son loves to build and these were better than I expected him to like them. He plays with them any chance he gets! Love how colorful they are. Not only does he build but he names the colors and their shapes. Wonderful option over character toys for your toddler!

This is a lovely set of blocks. Solid, bright colors, a variety of shapes. We got a transparent plastic box with a lid to store them in and I'd highly recommend that; no way they are going back in the box they came in :-)

These are what kids should be playing with! Simple, basic, colorful, non-breakable, no batteries or screens. Lets a child use his/her imagination and really play.

Now who can go wrong with Melissa and Doug? I had to buy two sets Melissa and Doug is very durable and reliable. They make some of the best toys and the safest toys. These blocks are a big hit in my house.

The colors of these blocks are vibrant! They are made of real wood and sanded smooth which is a must for little ones. I was surprised about the size of the blocks, I was expecting bigger. These are basic and will suffice. Love the quality but the size is lacking considering they are made for littles. Enclosed picture used a Pez dispenser for size reference.

These block are so versatile! My son will build anything from houses to towers, to tracks with them. They are sturdy and well sealed/painted. The only downfall we have is that they don't build the best on carpet since they can be a little slipper. It is best to build on a hard, flat surface if you are going to build a structure!

We love Melisa and Doug toys. The only issue is my granddaughter could and would ( yes she is full of mischief) put the one piece in her mouth and run around with it there! Almost gave us a heart attack the first and only time she played with them all together. So I think the age limit on this toy should be higher or the smallest block needs to be bigger. The 4 youngest granddaughters love them. I would recommend taking the small block out for under 4 yrs of age or lower.
