Melissa & Doug Basic Skills Puzzle Board - Wooden Educational Toy

Melissa %26 Doug products are huge favorites in our house. The quality is exceptional. This skills puzzle board checks all the boxes. The board teaches lacing and tying a shoelace, opening and closing a buckle, zipping a zipper, buttoning a button and snapping a snap. The zipper and snap are metal, so I don't have to worry about them breaking while the learning is taking place. Each piece can be removed from its place on the board and worked individually. This is great because our child is ready and can complete some of the tasks, while building up to the harder ones like lacing and tying a shoelace. I am very happy with this purchase and will continue to buy Melissa %26 Doug products in the future.

Another great Melissa %26 Doug toy for preschoolers! They will love the cute bear and vibrant colors. The puzzle is well made and the six activities provide an introduction to basic life skills. Preschoolers will have fun practicing fine motor skills with this puzzle/activity board.

I order these because they last several years and have gone through many children with my childcare program. If you're wanting to start working on fine motor and life skills, this is perfect for little ones.

educational puzzle more suited for 3-year-olds

My grandson is a curious folder and this keeps him entertained while he is learning skills! Definitely would buy again. Beautiful colors, well constructed. Good value!

Our daughter loves this skills board. I like that it is also a puzzle. The only thing I would change is add a way to secure the pieces to the board. This would make it easier to zip the zipper, etc. Working with pieces that are movable adds a level of challenge, but it should be optional.

Overall great product. However I felt that some of the fasteners were hard even for an adult. I do believe that they get easier over time as it gets used.

The package never arrived. Called x2: the first person said they would resend, I waited but nothing happened, when I called again 2nd person said that they can't resend package. I wouldn't have said anything but keep getting emails asking for a review so here it is.

Pros: Great useful activities for my almost 3 y/o. Cons: The puzzle design causes my son to pick up the piece which distracts him from completing the activity. Puzzle function, while cool, is not the best.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I didn't realize it was an actual puzzle and the kids can't zip or button things because the puzzle pieces come right off the board. You need resistance to be able to do the actual things on the pieces. If I could return it I would
