I'm old enough to remember when toys like this were wood, well this is an old school toy, and plastic doesn't really distract from it. There's a certain age group that kids really enjoy playing with something like this, and frankly it's good for them. It requires them to think, to visualize, and requires hand eye coordination.

This toy is great for open-ended play, and is loved by both my toddler and elementary aged child! This is one of the best shape sorter toys available anywhere. It's wood. Very durable. These are the perfect size to prevent choking but are great for little hands to grasp. They have bright coloring that teaches kids colors and shapes. I highly recommend this! Most of these are cheap plastic. This will last a lifetime and could be used for generations!

My daughter requested this gift for our grandchild. My kids had something similar and played with it for years. Right now my toddler grandchild just likes to dump the shapes out and put them back in. The toy will grow with her due to the shapes and colors. The quality is nice, and I like that it's wood instead of plastic.

The toy is bigger than I thought. It is nicely wrapped, all the pieces are there. Apart from teaching shapes, it can also roll so it is a multifunction toy.
