Melissa & Doug Toddler Toy With 6 Interchangeable Gears

Another puzzle hit from Melissa and Doug!!! This puzzle is brightly colored and fun to play with after you put it together. Great tool for your littles to learn colors! Great job from the people at Mellissa and Doug!!

This is a gift for someone else so I have not opened it, but the price was comparable to what I saw on other sites and I feel that Melissa and Doug products are usually reliable and high quality.

Love the colors and concept. Watched granddaughter number one playing with the gears New Year's Day and entertaining herself. Taking it apart, putting it together. Trying different color order. Love you company and products. Listened to an NPR interview about the history and mission statement of your company. Keep up the good work!

There's no beating Melissa and Doug quality. Our 17 month old loves this toy. She gets so excited when she gets all the gears going and I like that she's also learning to match the color gears to the colors on the board

Definitely great puzzle/toy! We unfortunately had one of the puzzle pieces drop and a dog decided to chew on it. The piece actually still kind of works. But baby and I are so obsessed with the toy we bought another full puzzle that will keep wrapped up until he's a little older. He has been successfully entertained and played well with it since about 6 months even though it's listed for older kids. He likes to lift the pieces and he is starting to learn how to twist the pieces/gears

One of the first toys that my granddaughter repeatedly enjoyed had a section of gears that she would spin continuously. So when looking at this Caterpillar, I thought she would like it just as well. So far, she hasn't spun the gears (watches me do it) but loves taking the parts off and then replacing them. That's a start. The bright colors attract her attention. She has a way of playing with her toys in unexpected ways. She takes each gear and lines it up on her sticky wall. (The sticky wall is just contact paper taped to the side of a cabinet with the sticky side facing out).

I recently gave this to my 1 year old great grand daughter. She loved taking off all the cogs, and tried to put them back on, but isn't quite there yet (which is good, so she can keep playing with it as she develops her finer motor skills). She will be able to play with this for quite a while, since there are colors involved, counting to be done, putting them on the pegs, etc. Well made and colorful toy!!

This toy is beautiful and my son loves it. He is getting to know the mechanics and likes to pull the gears off and suck on them at the moment.. a great purchase!

I love that you made the gears in rainbow order. Many adults haven't got that concept. It's important to be accurate in designing children's toys. They are absorbing much more than we usually give them credit for. If that caterpillar bent around in a circle, we would have a color wheel. My daughter had told me that if I bought any more toys for my grandchild, she would send them back home with me, but she loves the caterpillar and it now lives at here apartment.
