My 2 year old loves that it has keys and learned quickly which key was for which door. He also enjoys the emergency vehicles.

Very fun and interactive for my 2 year old. It involves gross and fine motor skills plus encourages the imagination. All around super fun! Huge bonus the it's Melissa %26 Doug - their products never disappoint.

My granddaughter loves it too!
Kids are fascinated with this. They love using the keys. Lots of great language and concepts: lock, unlock, open, color matching and naming, out, in. Kids can name the vocabulary ambulance, firetruck, police car, discuss what these emergency vehicles do in the community. I'm an SLP. Great opportunities as the children play to practice their /L/ sound and/or practice speaking multi-syllable words. Also a real way for the children to ask for help opening up the garages. One of my colleagues had this toy and it became so popular I decided to buy it.

Broke within 10 minutes
How sorely disappointed I was with this toy. I gave one to each of my 3-year-old grandsons, and it was cumbersome even for the adults. Within minutes of (finally) getting the key in the lock, the door got stuck, and it had to be thrown out. Really makes me wonder about Melissa & Doug's reputation as being a source of great, durable toys. Really unhappy that I put my faith in their reputation.
