This Remaster Absolutely Rips
Look… if you’re a Metallica fan, you already know what this album is. This is the Black Album. No skips. Just straight-up heavy, polished, world-dominating Metallica. This remaster absolutely rips on vinyl. The low end hits harder, the guitars have more bite, and everything just feels bigger and more alive. “Sad But True” will shake your room, and “Nothing Else Matters” sounds ridiculously clean and emotional. Pressing quality is solid—quiet, flat, and worth it just for how good it sounds cranked up. The Walmart version is a nice bonus if you’re into collecting different variants (and let’s be honest… if you’re a diehard, you probably are).

Excellent sounding pressing with some of Metallicas greatest songs. Great price. Recommended. Only thing I wish it was a gatefold.

I am old enough to have bought this on CD when it first came out. My nephew has gotten into Metallica so I was happy to buy this for him for Christmas.

The Black Album at a value, but may arrive damaged
The positives about these records are that they seem to be quality pressings, especially for the price I was able to purchase them at. The downsides are that my jacket was damaged upon arrival. The record was still sealed with the damaged jacket, so it appears to have happened prior to shipment as it was packaged perfectly. The other downside (personal feelings) is that both records are shoved together in one jacket. I feel that there is an opportunity to use a gatefold option so these records are not rubbing against each other constantly. I immediately replaced the paper sleeves with quality inner sleeves to help reduce friction.
