MGC Switchplate Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch2, Switch, and Windows PC

WORST controller I've eve purchased. Didn't even work at all, followed instructions, charged it, connected it, watched tutorials. I honestly think they gave me 2 janky controllers because they wouldn't even turn on. The ones from Amazon are way better. Save yourself the troubles don't even consider these and just go to Amazon. 0/10. LITERAL PIECES OF CRAP. The worst part is I went to Walmart physically in store to return and they said they could t do anything that it was too late but the app said I still had another week to return? Don't bother!!

Buyers beware, the right stick tends to lose its active zone/calibration. I absolutely loved the package it was presenting to me, full wireless, motion controls, a switchable front cover. It was Perfect, and the price was even better at the $40 USD range. But, the two that I purchased/exchanged for. The first one on the same day, the right stick would not fully reach the end of a radial menu, which prompted me to recalibrate the right stick. This gets completely reset when the controller disconnects. The second controller lasted about 2 days before the same symptoms occurred which leads me to believe that the magnet near the right stick may be causing the issue, but I am not an expert to determine the cause. Everything else works great, but this is an absolute issue with the controller, it is made clear that the right stick only seems to show the issue when you play Tears of the Kingdom and try to do something involving a radial menu like selecting an ability to switch to. Point is and tl;dr the right stick has some sort of issue that prevents the stick from reaching the direction threshold for a full direction when the stick is tilted, mostly on the right side according to Nintendo's calibration screen. It was too good to be true.

I shopped for a universal controller for the occasional afternoon of gaming, I do not consider myself to be a "Gamer", and the Switch plate controller was more than satisfactory for my needs. Outside of the very fair price I purchased at ($30 /-) I received a controller with various functionality, computer, Switch console, potentially mobile- I can't attest to that claim as I have not tried to use that ability yet. Be in mind the manufacturer was correct in stating that the controller MUST be connected via USB cable to the computer for proper functionality however the included cable is generous and should be able to accommodate most consumers needs comfortably. I have tried a few tricks and work arounds I know of to use the wireless capabilities of the controller but I was unable to use the controller without the cable and it's not been an issue, again I am a very casual "Gamer" though so your mileage will very based on your usage intents. As a after note: I have used the controller on a Switch, as it is marketed, and wireless is perfect and very user friendly. The only cautions I would propose is to those who are seeking a abundantly premium experience, a range of options to provide above average customisation, and those who do not feel as comfortable with smaller/compact peripherals. This is not the size is a authentic Switch Pro controller and while excellent for storage and transportation is not comparable to first party accessories that can be purchased from other manufacturers. I am very pleased with that I received and would more than likely replace it with a similar if not identical model should this unit fail within a reasonable period of time. At present, I have owned and used the SwitchPlate for nearly a month and played Destiny 2, COD, Wolfenstein, and numerous other cloud accessible titles with little to no issue. Nearly all comparability problems can be resolved through in game settings.

Great, portable controller that offers full size controller benefits that's easily portable in a small bag along with your Switch console. I actually own 2 of these, and would recommend one to anyone looking for a smaller, portable controller with all of larger controller's full size features!

2 adults using it for Dreamlight Valley, Tears of the Kingdom, and ACNH. No kid usage, and after 24 days the joystick doesn't work. Not drift issue, it doesn't even register to the system that you're using it, but A, B, X and Y and left/right buttons are fine. We buy lots of Pro controllers and store brand has been fine, but do not buy this controller. It is awful.

Saw this reviewed on youtube so I tried it out and very glad I did! I've got other controllers, but only the one made by Nintendo has rumble. This one has adjustable rumble plus programmable back buttons plus adjustable analog sticks. You should also know that the sticks stop working if the setting is at the lowest range, so if they don't respond just adjust them up and they'll work again. Company says it's something about also being compatible with PC and PC being more sensitive to these analog sticks than Switch. Setup was easy but I had to go into the system controller settings to get it paired but after that it connects automatically. $40 is a pretty sweet deal for all this controller packs!

Controllers are very good in every aspect except that they are on the small side. Anyone with large as myself may find it difficult to use.

This was the first one I bought for my godson … it lasted all of 2 weeks . I thought maybe he did something to it so it bought another one to replace it and the second one also stopped working . I would like a refund for this .

The controller is a bit smaller than the official one but feels good in my hands. It was easy to pair with my Nintendo switch which is the 1st model. I plugged in the USB into the dock while the switch was docked and it recognized it quickly. The buttons feel good and when playing games and there wasn't any lag. The buttons have just the right amount of clickyness and feel like they should last. The joysticks on the controller also feel very good and appear to well built and should also last. They have a very small dip in the thumbpad so they are comfortable to use.

I received a MGX Switchplate for Nintendo Switch from The Home Testers Club to review. My 6 year old grandson was over the moon excited when I gave him this controller to play his Nintendo Switch. The controller fits nicely in his hands and very easy to use to play his games. I loved that it came with a second cover so the controller can be changed from black to white in a second. Now he's able to play with his family and compete against them.
