Does the work fast and efficiently.
The Microplane Classic Series Original Stainless Steel Zester does the work fast and efficiently and surprisingly, even though it doesn't have a handle, it doesn't hurt to hold it. I used my non-dominant hand to hold the fruit, and my dominant hand to hold the zester on top of the fruit so that the zest collects in the zester channel. Much easier this way and the length of the zester helps too. I grated two oranges and froze the rind so I don't have to buy an orange just to get the rind.

Great grater
This is the second one of these I have purchased. They work great for zesting just about anything from citrus to nutmeg.

Perfectly utilitarian
This microplane performs well, and without all added bulk of plastic handles, it fits easily in one of my kitchen drawers.

Classic Series Stainless Steel Zester (no handle)
Love it - I have had one of these zesters since 2007 when they were offered as a gift with a Cook’s Illustrated subscription. It’s still as sharp as the day it arrived even after years of use. I needed another one for a new location. Easy to store and absolutely perfect without a handle.
