well, this little air conditioner is one tough little old bird over the years. I’ve had them from Sears and a lot of different companies. The little things are not that expensive and they’re not that expensive to run. They’re easy to install. Just take them out every couple three years and clean them good like anything keep your screens clean and man this little thing I’ll just freeze you out of the house if you wanna run it hard enough very durable love mine I have three of them.
We purchased 1 of these units in April and liked it so much that we bought this other 1. Both units work great to cool off our entire space, with the use of cyclone fans to distribute the cool air. After a couple of months having the units since April and June, water started steadily dripping in through the front of each unit onto our floors. We inspected inside and outside of each unit, we discovered the issue is that they manufactured these units without adequate drain holes on the bottom of the unit so the water could drip to the outside. each unit had 1 drain hole at the corner, inadequate for the water to even reach the drain hole. Water was just sitting in the bottom of each unit, so it was draining inside instead of outside. So, we found a solution that worked without having to call a technician. Able to see through the side of the unit, my husband was able to see several places where he could drill drain holes in the bottom of each unit. he lined up VERY CAREFULLY to make sure he didn't hit any of the internal components of the air conditioners.
Great AC. Room gets Ice cold within minutes. I shouldve gone with this brand for myself. Instead I bought another brand and now the unit is not working as it used to and its only been a little over a month. Highly recommend. I may eventually have to buy this unit next year.
since getting this unit ive been nothing but pleased. It's quiet compared to the old Midea I had where the filter was on the side, this filter is easy to get to. it keeps my room cold. in florida the heat index has been close to the 100s this was a way better purchase. the master bedroom is quite large room and the unit blows super cold air. the controls are top notch. im happy with my purchase
it is not quiet by any means, but it does the job. i think my room might be a little big for the 8000 btu so my only complaint would be my mistake. i should have got atleast 10000 btu for my room sizze. also, the vents can only be turned so far which is inconvenient because they dont move very much in any direction. but overall it was a good deal
The air conditioner works but the pictures of the item show that it is smart controlled through wifi and it is not. We did not know this until putting it together and in the window.
It is always in n Eco mode and shuts down way too often. The room temp is never consistent due to shutting down when it gets to temp then the room heats back up before it clicks back on. Annoyingly loud and inconsistent noise for a bedroom.
This unit is quite compact, light and easy to install. My unit would not cool my bedroom below 75° which is only 144 ft and this unit is supposed to cool up to 150 ft. I'm not sure if my unit possibly didn't get charged all the way or if this is just a cheap unit to start with but I would not recommend it.
this is the worst window ac I have owned in thirty years. No matter what mode this is on it turns completely off every ten or so minutes - I thought initially it must be in energy saver mode or eco mode or on auto but it wasn't … even when it would run for ten minutes at a time it never blew very cool air. The display screen is VERY bright so if you like sleeping in a dark room, forget it . The ac and the remote never seemed to sinc with their respective displays - Some ac's have compressor sounds that go on and off but if the unit is on and not on auto the fan keeps blowing between cycles- this does not do that - and it was not inexpensive . I will never buy a Midea product again
When I pulled the item from the box, I already knew that it was used. There were all kinds of scratches into the enamel paint on the underside. I plugged the machine in before, installing it, thankfully, and the machine itself did not work properly. It would not turn off.. The machine had to be unplugged for it to stop operating. It was a huge hassle to return the item because they kept telling me when they scanned it, they couldn't come up with the right number. Argh!
