I was in need of a nice monitor stand to manage better the desk space and to reduce neck strain by raising the monitor to a comfortable height. I was looking to raise the monitor and able to stick some things under it and this stand look to be the best fit I could find. It arrived in a nice box and all you have to do is open it, take the stand form it's plastic bag and it is ready to go. It feels really solid and I'm sore in can hold up to 40 pounds. It has a perforated hole pattern platform that allows passive airflow, perfect to keep a laptop to keep it cool and have it raised at the eyes level. I like the fact that now I can place a keyboard or anything I need under it saving space and keeping my desk space organized, I can't be much happier. I like how study and solid is and because it is made out of one piece is very stable and not wobbly at all. The rubberized feet makes this stand not go anywhere. I may get 2 more for my office. Highly recommitted!

The brand name of this monitor stand is Mind Reader. It is all made of metal and is all black. The metal means it will be very durable and last a long time. It is sturdy and not flimsy. It weights 2.86 pounds so it must be able to hold some weight. The ergonomics of the curved legs makes it so it can hold the heavier weight of a monitor or whatever. It keeps the object well balanced. I say that because this can not only be used for a monitor stand. It can also be used as a stand for a printer or a computer. It is so versatile that it can even be used as a lap top riser, a desk shelf or whatever else you need. It has lots of perforated holes on the top. This is to allow the heat to escape. I use mine as a lap top riser and have not found the lap top or the stand to become hot. I'm not sure about a monitor because I don't use it for that reason. It also comes with black rubber feet to protect your desk top surface from scratches. I have an old computer desk so I am not worried about that part of it. The stand is very nice and even looks expensive. It has just the right height to reduce eye and neck strain. The Monitor Stand is 11.33 (W) x 4.21 (H) x 14.88 (L). The only con I have to say is if you are using it as a monitor stand and you have a full size keyboard it will not slide under the stand. My full size keyboard is 17.25". Since I use mine as a laptop riser I use the underneath as a storage space. I put my letter opener, stapler, pens and pencils and even my tv remote control because I watch tv while I'm on my laptop underneath it. It works very well. I REALLY recommend this product.

I had two books elevating my large LCD computer monitor so I didn't have to look down at the lower parts of the screen. That's not good for your posture. This riser replaced the books. I also get more desk space this way since there is 4 inches / 10 cm of free space now under the monitor. The product is just the right size - not too big, not too small. On a less crowded desk than mine you could store the keyboard under there. My keyboard is already in a drawer below. The riser is strong and has rubber feet to keep it in place and avoid scratching the desk. It is also perforated with ventilation holes to protect devices from overheating such as when using a high performance laptop. The product images show a laptop on the riser, but for me that might be uncomfortable having to lift up my arms. There are other products which are sloped. However, in a situation where you may be using a laptop standing up, this would be a big help. So those are the main features – strong construction, handy size, non-scratch feet, and ventilation holes.

A great addition to my home . Does exactly what its supposed to do . Raises your laptop off the desk by above 5 inches , allowing you to put things underneath . Its nice quality metal monitor stand . Could also be used for a laptop if you use external keyboard and mouse . It is just a few inches tall . but its perfect if you need your monitors height a little higher up . Its much more stable and looks much nicer . It looks so much better than every monitor stand i have seen . simple and effective stand . This monitor stand is even better than i expected . i like the design . i highly recommended

I like this Mind Reader 'Collar' Metal Monitor Stand with keyboard storage space in Black. It's a very clean simple design that is attractive on the desk and very functional as well. This stand lets your raise your laptop height off your desk to better align with your eyes reducing neck strain. It is also a very versatile stand the can hold many types of devices including monitors, laptops, printers, cable boxes, small televisions, and DVD players. Having space under the shelf uses desktop space more efficiently as you can put a keyboard or other desktop items under the shelf. The ventilated shelf is good to all air circulation around whatever you put on the shelf but is especially good for laptops that can get pretty hot. Since it holds up to 40 pounds without bending it can handle a wide range of electronic items. The heavy weight of the metal would also prevent it from bending or denting with normal wear and usage. I like the modern clean lines of the black metal material. I personally like this style without a drawer better for the desk top as it looks less cluttered. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to elevate a laptop or monitor on their desk.

Nice monitor stand. One corner looked like it was damaged and repainted but still looks ok.

The stand is very durable but I just wish it was able to adjust the height. So if someone wanted to use it with a laptop, you could put it over your lap when using the laptop.
