Mini Brands, Collectable Grocery Grab Card Game, Kids Aged 5 and up

I enjoy playing a quick game with my kids before bed, as special one on one time. This game fits the bill: quick, fun and designed for two players. It's entertaining even if you aren't a Mini Brands fan. I recommend it for any occasion, but I think it would make a great stocking stuffer or classmate gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blue's clues & You is an easy game for children to learn how to play. The large cards with fun graphics made the cards easy to hold as well as visually fun. I had a good time trying to make up good clues for the kids. Using the term Naptime found in the instructions made my children giggle as well as pretend to nap to be funny. We had fun swapping cards as well as coming up with clues. I enjoyed the happiness this brought to the children as we had fun family time together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cute game and it reminds me very much of Old Maid. Characters are recognizable and adds educational play to learn matching skills. Cards are large enough for small hands for both kids and adults. Having numbers also adds a layer of extra skills as younger children grow.

For the younger ones, we were able to easily come up with simpler variations to play together. The Blue toy is very popular around here. It's a nice little toy that the kiddos can play with, even if they don't want to play the actual game. This is a great way to introduce littles to the fun of playing card games.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughters (5 and 7 years old) enjoyed this game a lot. It took a few times for my 5 year old to get the hang of flipping the cards at the same time as the other person playing but she eventually got the hang of it. I think the pace of the game was fast but lasted long enough to enjoy. I did have to shuffle several times during a game before someone got 10 matches which was the only down fall. Overall we all enjoyed the game and will continue to play it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm excited to play this game with my kids. The cards and tokens feel sturdy and the little tub of cool whip is super cute! I will probably transfer the game into a different storage box because the box it comes in is a little bulky due to the included mini figure and the way it has to be opened to remove the figure leaves the box unsuitable for storing the game. Otherwise a nice product.

It was a little difficult to keep young children focused because the game did take a while to win. Overall we had a lot of fun and laughed a lot while playing this game. It was a good test of reaction time. It was slightly difficult to keep children from being overly enthusiastic about grabbing the mini brands collectible.
