Minn Kota Edge 45 lb Thrust 42" Shaft Freshwater Bow Mount Trolling Motor

I ordered this for my husband. He installed it on his fishing boat right away, lol. He said it was very easy to install. He really loves the fact that it has the foot pedal...so much easier for him to maneuver (while fishing) than a hand pedal. The speed is good, also. Overall, he is very pleased with it!

I bought this motor to replace a old one, the mounting went fine about a half hour the power is better too and the price was great the only difference I could find is the shaft length Wal-Mart's is 42 inch. all others I viewed were 45, might make a difference on some boats. Rated for boats up to 18 feet ...

I haven't had it long, but the Edge seems well-made and tough. The foot-operated controller is very easy to operate compared to my 20-year-old Minn Kota. If you are looking for a no-frills bow-mounted trolling motor, I would definitely recommend giving this one a look.

Wal-Mart went out 0f there way to insure this product got to me before the 25th ! I am so proud of the guys and girls that made my Husband Christmas WISH COME TRUE. after I GOT AN E-MAIL SAYING IT COULDN'T`T be shipped to store for pick up....until the 26th i thought BUMMER ! But you guys did it and had it delivered to my house at no extra charge ! THANKS AGAIN !

I have a 20 foot pontoon with open decking in the back and front so its actually a 25 foot vessel, I had a 45lb thrust trolling motor on it and the only way you can use it was if there was no wind. I got this online cheaper than any where else even in store. I put it on the boat and added an inline 50 amp marine circuit breaker (you need something for insurance) and wired it in. I picked up an Minn Kota plug (in store) that was for 12 or 24 volt and hooked this beast up. We had 20 knot winds and this motor pulled my boat with the sun shade up faster than my outboard at low idle. This thing is a beast I love it! its not too noisy at high power ether. If you need the power, indestructible shaft, 5 seeds, and easy instillation... this is the unit for you.

This is an excellent motor for the money. Very easy to install. I have an 18' Procraft Bass Boat and this moves it around with no problem at all. Save yourself the time, I checked around with about 10 different dealers and Walmart has the best price on this motor hands down!!

The only thing that is of concern to me now that I purchased the "Edge" is the size of the footpedal. On a previous Minnkota I owned it had a smaller footpedal and the turns to the right and left were automatic, not cable. Despite that difference I still am glad I purchased this unit and would recommend to any fisherman to purchase it. I also wanted to purchase a 55 pound thrust initially but could not afford that particular model at the time. No worries though; the 45 pound thrust Edge is doing a fantastic job and I am very happy with the speed and happy I got this model! It moves my 15' Lowe with console and 40 horse merc just fine. Definitely would recommend.

looked everywhere for this product. Bass pro shop , dicks sporting goods, gandar mtn, evryone had a 24 volt trolling motor, however bought the same motor from wallmart. total savings 260.00 less than the closes competitor. almost 500 less than one. Although i found some things at a better price no one was even close on this major purchase. Highly recommend anyone check out walmart.com prices before making purchase of this item

Motor was an exact replacement for my boat and does a good job. Beware tho, the pictured prop is not the prop you get. And when you call about it, it is not even available for this model motor so Walmart needs to change the picture to not show a power prop.

Bought this one to replace the exact same model that was 13 yrs old %26 was still working well but I damaged the top of the unit that pivots %26 shows direction travelling. Decided against trying to "jury-rig" it to get few more trips. Was excited to go fishing with new one! Soon as I lowered it into water %26 began with speed 2, my jaw dropped! It was making a loud clicking or clacking noise from shaft or motor. WAY TOO loud to fish with. Had to undo all the mounting hardware %26 take back to local Walmart store. They made it extremely easy with no packing box to try to put it back in %26 no mailing either. They scanned the bar code on my phone %26 matched it with bar code on foot control %26 I was in %26 out in 10 minutes with refund going back to card that very day. Hoping this is a one-off deal. I reordered same unit again %26 we'll see (fingers crossed). Old unit was VERY quiet so this was a HUGE aggravation!!
