It went on very evenly and very low fumes as I did this in an apartment a one bedroom on top of that I would definitely recommend it good coverage!!

The matte finish is perfect.

Amazing top coat, if you know how to use it that is! I put this on my freshly painted flat black cabinets, I let them dry a few days before applying the crystal clear top coat, and they're coming out great..this product requires 3 - 5 coats and you must be even and quick and itll be perfect.

Do not like paying higher prices for online purchases ad there is no difference in the product whether I purchase in store or online. Prices should be the same.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for some custom corn hole boards that I made. It doesn't yellow and applies easily over vinyl decals on corn hole boards.

Used this for years on many wood projects after staining, and on restoring and old cedar chest. Brought back the finish on my kitchen cabinets and able to use the kitchen same day. Only down fall is on large surfaces there isn't much time to "work the product" like regular poly urethane.

I have used Polycrylic Protective Finish for a variety of applications: handrails, steps, cabinets, and stairways. The best application is two coats to give a richer finish. The beauty of the Polycrylic is that it has very little release, so you can use it indoors without active ventilation. It is also easy to clean brushes between applications, as it is water soluble while still wet. But, when it dries, it produces a tough lustrous finish.

The can I got was separated and I couldn't get the solid mass in the bottom to mix well. The finish ended up being pretty glossy even though it was supposed to be ultra flat. It was thicker than I expected and it pooled in some low spots on my project causing hazy or white patches.

While I like the clarity and hardness of this product, spray application is not as easy as Minwax polyurethane or lacquer. The polycrylic does not level very well -particularly if you have an older spray can. Even with a new can, have to spray heavier coats to get a smooth finish. Horizontal surfaces come out okay, but on vertical surfaces it will run and sag. I also had to refinish a coffee table top (26" x 46"), and wanted to use up an older spray can. It came out all lumpy, even though I added a whole new spray can over it (while still wet) to try to smooth it out. I was particularly careful to shake it thoroughly and keep the nozzles clear and clean, but product age is apparently a real problem.

I bought the aerosol version of the polyacrylic. The cap is extremely difficult to get off. I could not do it, so I left it outside by my project for my husband to get home. He's a big strong guy and he, too, struggled immensely to get off the cap. Unfortunately, in the short time I left it outside it froze a bit and it can't be used. I'm going to let it warm up and see if it's useable, The label does say “keep from freezing “, so that part is on me. Even if I can use it, I'll never buy product with the same type of cap again. Awful.
