I've been using one of these for several months now and it's handy and dependable. You WILL need one of the adaptor sizes (or at least I did) from the can of Butane to refill it. My first has perhaps an oddity that my first had fairly consistent pattern where there the flame adjuster lever has to be toggled before the gas will light. I'm pretty sure it's an peculiarity, this new one doesn't seem to do that but I'd get another anyway. It has a bright red slider on/off safety switch prominently displayed and conveniently placed right where a thumb would be, assuming a Primate was using it. I deem this lighter's flame velocity strong enough to be considered a "windproof" lighter, PLUS it's design fits very comfortably in the palm, securely cradling it. This is unlike certain brand name pocket lighters, whose use feel like it's causing carpal tunnel syndrome, in the name of safety, while its design whispers "I hate you". The bonus of this design is its use naturally and automatically orients one's hand as one would if cradling a lighter from strong winds. Michigan's also known as "Land of the Annoying Winds" in folklore, in case you didn't know. Knowing this makes me an expert, so you know that can trust my analysis. BIG PLUS: Your hand will also be in a fist-like position using this lighter, a perfect position to be in if any Kung-Fu fighting breaks out. Plus the price? $3.87 Why do you not have TWO (or more) of these like me? I said to myself. Get one to keep in the glove box (or console) in case you ever need a flame on the road, Dad always told me. Now I'm telling you, too.
So cute so little but a little powerhouse. Works perfectly and the button is not really hard to push like some people said. I have HEDS and my joints hurt a lot especially in my hands and I can press it fine without hurting my hands. I’m glad I tried it anyways cause it’s cheap and works exactly for what I need it for. (Also if you do dabs it heats glass fine) ✨✨✨✨✨
This torch lighter has been a great purchase so far. It lights up very easily and works perfectly for cigars, bbq grills, and other outdoor uses. I was honestly impressed with this newer brand since it was my first time seeing it at Walmart. The design immediately caught my attention because it looks much more modern and attractive compared to the BIC lighters I usually buy. The torch flame is strong and reliable, and the lighter itself feels solid in hand. Definitely something I would buy again
i bought this torch to help melt filament strands on my 3-D printer parts. I was going to get one of those big kitchen type torches, but this one was a little over 2 bucks, and it's absolutely perfect. It has a lockout switch, I don't really need. But it has a flame adjust and on the bottom is where the butane refill is. this torch is compact %26 comfortable in the hand. the push button igniter is a little stiff, but overall I love it!! and when it runs out, I'll get a can of butane to refill it and be good to go again. I definitely recommend this.
I bought this to use in in a hobby/craft. Design is suitable. Thought I spend more time clicking it than actually using it. I’ve tried adjusting the butane -/ and even tried a different butane. Nothing helped. It’s still hard to light. I will not buy again.
I bought two of theses garbage lighters, the 1st one wouldn’t work at all straight out of the package and the 2nd one worked maybe 5 times before it just quit lighting. Both had fluid, both had spark but would not light. It’s seriously unreal that products can be that freaking bad!
this lighter absolutely sucks I think I have bought four or five in the past 4 weeks, they do not last very long at all literally about 2 3 days tops and they are so extremely hard to push down to ignite it that your finger will hurt before you even get a flame steady enough to light something. I have got to stop wasting my money on them however when I need one they're just right there and available but I just cannot purchase another one they hurt my fingers so bad to not get any results from them!!!
*DO NOT BUY! COMPLETE GARBAGE! This is the third or fourth one of these that I’ve bought/ tried over the past year or so. NOT ONE LASTED LONGER THAN 24 HOURS! And I’m not talking about it running out of butane - I mean like it’s full of butsne, I prime and purge it and let it rest and just… nothing. Don’t waste your money, fr.
This is my second time purchasing one of these MK torch lighters, and both times have been terrible. The first one I bought from Walmart, the trigger stopped working and it broke something inside somehow and then it just literally fell apart. I only got to use it for literally less than 2 days. This time around, I bought the same torch due to it being the only one available in my area at the time, and it has simply not worked since opening it. I am not sure if it worked beforehand, or if it was just messed up shipping or packaging, but it is impossible to light. The fuse is non-existent and the trigger presses in, but does not click, does not make any hissing noise out of the output nozzle, and it is just a complete fail. I apologize for this review. I do very much wish I could give a full review on it with a fully working product, but I am 0-2 with these MK torch lighters so far with barely any usage whatsoever. The blue looks nice on them, though. They are fairly comfortable in one's hand, also. It is very disheartening that neither of mine worked.
I bought this because I used to have one some time back and it worked great. So I got another one to replace it. When I tried to light it wouldn't light. You can hear hear the gas coming out but it will not start. I contacted Walmart and they refunded my money s
