Arrived quickly and in great condition. The price was wonderful. I can't wait for my nephew to receive this as a Christmas present
A very good product and price was great. Walmart was one of a few who had this game.
This review is for the PS4 version. This is my first jump to a new version of The Show since buying the 17 Show. I liked the 17 version of the game, but was annoyed with the catcher dropping balls bug that they never bothered to fix. I am not one to jump each year with sports games and instead tend to wait. I decided to grab this after finding it on sale for 10 bucks. I figured that I couldnt pass it up, even though Show 21 is probably a few months away from being released. Considering three years have passed, there are a number of improvements in this versus 17. There are some new modes and lots of new features that are fun. Like most sports games, there is a learning curve, but I do feel more comfortable from playing 17 and the changes are not so great that I feel lost. The graphics are well done with beautiful stadiums and fields and realistic looking players, greatly improved from 17. The sounds of the game along with the announcing make me feel like I am at a real game. The small touches here are impressive and add to the ambiance of the game. The offensive and defensive improvements make this even more fun and realistic to play. The catcher bug is gone, thank goodness and so far, I have not seen any major game breaking or annoying bugs after installing and updating. I, personally, prefer the franchise mode or developing yourself from a minor leaguer, but there is lots to do, if you like the diamond dynasty stuff. Learning the ins and outs of the player experience and tweaking your team with trades and stuff, can be a bit daunting. I personally prefer to play solo, but you can play against others as well. One trend I do not like in sports games or video games in general, this one included, is the whole microtransaction stuff. Granted, this might only have incremental changes from last year and may be in transition to a full PS5 version, but it is a realistic baseball sim and fun to play. 4.5 stars
