I received this "Mobil 1 Extended Performance M1-104A Oil Filter" as a birthday gift for my 62nd birthday. I honestly don't know what is inside this thing. I am guessing it's some sort of folded up thick filter paper. Reminds me of how small intestines kind of are squeezed into a tight space, curving around, crammed into a space. I suppose the oil is supposed to be forced through the filter paper wall and come out cleaner. Something like that. But what if it isn't. What if it's a mystery inside that cylinder. Have you ever actually taken one apart? I think when you take apart a Russian Faberge Egg, it just has more smaller eggs inside. But, for different reasons, you're going to run into the wall of a lack of motivation. No one in their right mind reading this would dream of spending the kind of money needed to hold, let alone take apart, some actual Russian Faberge Egg. Likewise, who in their right mind would bother taking apart an oil filter? So, you, me, and every other sane person with better things to do, we're all going to have to risk it and not actually find out if there's just filter paper in these things, or, on the extreme contrary, perhaps micro little people living inside these little round houses. Little people as in fantasy village of micro humans who wave magic wands and transform dirty oil into clear oil You know, maybe it's just another dimension, a Twilight Zone type of void filled with a magical vortex that casts a spell on the oil as it goes through. Perhaps all oil in cars goes into a worm hole and orbits around some distant star for a few moments and returns purified by the warm rays of the foreign star. That could be. That could very well be, because, so long and my YouTube account is active, there's no way on this earth that I'm going to have the free will live option of tearing apart one of these things to find out what's inside. So, I'll just conclude, it's great, high quality parts and well made.
I've been using this with Valvoline Restore and Protect oil. I change the oil between 5-7k miles on the 2019 Kia Niro. A bit on the pricey side but the oil is cleaning the engine.
Packaging was extra detailed with a plastic liner over the filter to prevent dust intrusion - not typical at automative stores.
I purchased this oil filter because of its premium build and properties. It is warranted for 20000 miles, but I won't leave in on that long.
One of the best filter that I used in car Mobil has always been selling good products. I tried Mobil oil filters 3 times I'm happy with it.
I can't speak to the technical better or not specifications for this Mobile filter. I do hear that it is a fairly good quality filter and this is one of the very few filters I have used in life that had plastic covering the inlet/threads, helping to ensure no contaminants find their way into it until install. It was certainly cheaper than the other local places I checked and I would buy this filter again.
It won't fit your 2024 Honda Accord, my installation did not work and almost destroyed my honda engine. It is also a waste of my engine oil because when I restarted my engine, the oil were pushed out everywhere. It is not recommended for 2024 Honda Accord.
My issue is not with the item itself. I received a different and cheaper filter ACDelco brand inside the Mobil box so I had to return the item. I recommend Walmart to verify the items before shipping them.
Wow. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so I figured tonight would be the best time to change the oil and filter in my 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid. I go to open the box to put my filter in, and this is what was inside. I ordered this through Walmart.com and had it delivered very quickly. I didn't know I needed to open everything the second I got it to ensure I didn't get robbed. Now I know.
Right part %23 for car but would not fit guessing was possibly mislabeled at factory would not buy mobil 1 filter again this was my first and last
