I read online that this is what you need to stiffen beadwork. I make beaded jewelry, and it stiffens it really well. I found out that clear nail polish does not work as good because the stiffness is gone eventually. What do you is you take a small paint brush and you paint the back of the earrings or other beadwork and you wait for it to dry in a few hours. It dries clear, does not distort the colors. I am sure glad I found this opinion online that Mod Podge is best for stiffening beadwork. It really works. The paintbrush cleans up with water. But before you paint the beadwork, place the beadwork on parchment paper to prevent a sticky mess on your table.
I purchased this version of mod Podge to help with relining a vintage train case with fabric. It was easy to apply with a chip brush and nailed the job! It adhered my fabrics nicely. Drying time was spot on as well.
initially I thought this was not going to work other than a top coat. But I was wrong. slight dilution and it worked perfectly as both the ducupodge layering and the final top coat. held fabulously, clear hard coat. perfect for shelves and table tops. Has a longer dry time than some products, but I have yet to find one that holds up better with the wonderfully clear hard coat. Top it off with not needing to clear away my cat and no nauseating smell. Can't be beat on my book.
one of my crafts is covering boxes in fabric. i finish with a coat of this. while it isn't going to make it waterproof it will provide some protection and help keep it clean. the finish is semi-gloss.
Have you used for years? modgepodge is a good product.
It did just what I wanted
Works exactly as anticipated.
This worked very good when dry u cant ebb see it at all exactly what I needed good buy
Hard coat does exactly what it says. Does take a month to cure, worth it.
Can't really judge this product. I ordered this online, and waited a few weeks to open it, only to find out that the product had been previously opened, and resealed. It appears very watery and has caused streaking on what I used it on. I have concerns that this may not be the real deal.
