I have had a Moen kitchen sink faucet for 10 years. It has had plenty of use. Recently it started to drip just a little, but with turning on and off, it quit. I assumed I needed to replace the cartridge in the stem. I found my owners manual, but it was not that helpful. If it would include in the tool description that it requires a T15 star driver, that would have saved me a lot of time and trouble. Removing the cartridge, so I could take it to the hardware store to choose replacement, was difficult. It would not lift up. I ended up googling a video which told me that it was ok to hold to the stem and pound up with hammer. It came out then. I would recommend putting a user friendly insert into the original installation papers, so when one has to change out, it is quickly referenced, instead of having to look a bunch up on the internet. The faucet is well constructed, has not tarnished or discolored in 10 years. The new cartridge went right in and works very smoothly. Very pleased with the choice of MOEN.

Walmart had the best price on Moen 1225 cartridges, by far. Fast and free shipping when I bought 3 cartridges.

Could not find the right one in any store. This works great. Was easy to install and works like a new shower.

My water seems to create corrosive build ups and Moen has been extremely easy to deal with at getting my faucet sinks control cartridges replaced under warranty every couple of years. This is way I will only by Moen.

I have two identical moen bathroom faucets. When one starts to drip I replace both cartridges. Only one 1225 replacement cartridge worked well; the second leaked more the old, worn cartridge. That I have to replace cartridges frequently, added to the low quality (OEM) replacements shows that moen quality is complete trash. I'm with the Millenials on this one, the enshittification of everything is the future and it is here.

Followed the directions for installation and the cartridge allows leaking to still happen.

What I paid for and was sent did not fit my fixture at all.
