Plays really well. If you're a fan of monopoly and modern play it's pretty good. The younger kids love the using the credit cards for the banking. They feel like adults and it's fun.
Monopoly Ultimate Banking is a greatly reinvented spin off of the classic version I grew up loving! This version maintained the classical key elements from the original version, i.e. ‘go to jail’ space while introducing a twist with banking unit that indicates market conditions. Additionally, I enjoy that the game tends to go much faster than the classic game, which means the winner gets all the glory sooner! All in all, I am completely satisfied with this product and will definitely be bringing this game along for the next game night and family get-together. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.
I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. So far I'm pretty happy with this game. I enjoyed playing monopoly as a kid and teenager and this is basically the modernized version of the old game. I have found that the pretend debit card makes the game much faster since no one has to count physical money. Also, in the older games I found myself often times damaging the money or losing some of it and the card makes it easier to keep track of the game pieces. I would definitely recommend this game to a friend. It's fun for the whole family!
This is a great game. I understand it is a little more expensive but definitely worth it. Kept the attention of ages 11 to 15 for a couple of hours.
My brother had this game but the banker didn't work. Buying him another one for Christmas. Fingers crossed this one works!
This is such a fun version of Monopoly! My family loves it, especially my teenagers! Would definitely buy for a gift!
Definitely recommend. Love the automated feature. Have played this game 3 times already with my kids. Love that i am able to spend quality time with the game they wanted.
I received this product at a discounted price in return. This is a very fun family game to play with, but can only play up to 4 people. This game is different than the original monopoly, since it doesn't have paper cash anymore, each person is assigned a plastic token, and the ultimate banking unit will calculate transactions for you each time when you buy or sell properties, so you don't have to do all the math on your own. It is perfect for anymore who doesn't want to deal papers, and comparing to the original monopoly game, this game makes the whole process the way faster and efficient.
I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. I haven’t played Monopoly in years. I was excited to play this new version. All transactions are done using money cards through an electronic bank or a digital devise. So making it digital is a huge difference or rather upgrade. It does make the game go a little quicker. Very different from the older version because there is no physical money. Which I thought I would miss but it was okay. Not having to keep track of all the money was kind of nice. At the same time, I do remember as a kid learning how to count money with all the bills. That is no longer the case as there is no paper money. If you are looking to use Monopoly as way to teach your kids to count money, you’ll want to purchase the older version. Otherwise Ultimate Banking is a great game to play with the family on a rainy day.
Really great new look of the board, property cards, game pieces, houses, etc. (Where'd the hotels go? Simplicity, I guess...) The contents of the cards have been updated, too - maybe a bit more relevant to the current times (which is a plus.) The biggest difference from the classic version is the Ultimate Banking Unit - which is very innovative, but takes a little getting used to. It does detract a bit from the nostalgia factor of counting out the money, passing the cash, etc...but it's a new millennium so I suppose it's good to "get with the times". My kids and I had fun playing the game - just as much fun as when we've played the original. My kids actually like this one a bit more due to the "electronic" features (but, from purely a "basic math education" perspective, I generally prefer the classic version for them.) At any rate, it's still a fun game to play. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.
