I bought this for my son as a gift and he loves it, he plays it with his siblings and it is a nice edition to our game collection. They all love Mario, so having a new Mario game is always nice since we have had the other 2 Mario Monopoly games in the past.
My son loves Mario etc and was excited to play. This version offers a streamlined bank (aka not as many denominations) and fewer squares. The result is a faster game and a little less math, resulting in more favorable game play for younger players. It's now a favorite on game night!
I bought it for a gift for Christmas, and so I haven't seen it opened up yet. It arrived on time, and I've wrapped it. I bought it because my grandson loves Mario, but he is at an awkward age, 13, and being monopoly, I figure some math and money will be involved, a learning experience. Also playing with others offers a social experience.
product was fine but the box was damaged.
The board game is smaller than the traditional monopoly, and there are only two values to tokens - 1 coin and 5 coin. Generally speaking, all properties sets have been reduced by one deed, aside from "Baltic" and "Mediterranean", as well as "Boardwalk" and "Park Place". The chance spaces are unique in this version, as there is a cube that you press a button to determine what your reward or punishment is. It's random between I believe four different noises, which is a nice touch. Overall, I think it'll be enjoyable and should go a bit quicker for my kids since the game board is smaller.
Who wouldn't like a Monopoly-Mario mashup?! Cute game, brings together two kid favorites into one. Makes Monopoly more fun for kids. It's easy to get the hang of. Got it for a gift and it was a big hit. Maybe for the elementary and middle school age group, less so for teens.
Almost everyone likes Monopoly. A lot of people love Mario. So this is the perfect item for your favorite game lover. The game is played like traditional Monopoly, but of course, is all Mario themed. The board is very colorful, and places are named for things in Mario's world. The tokens are part of the Mario empire, and gold coins are part of the play. The board isn't as long and big as traditional Monopoly, so play isn't as endless. We have a friend whose family is obsessed with all things Mario. They have costumes of most of the characters, including Yoshi. Guess what they are getting for Christmas? Yep! This game!
I purchased, the Mario monopoly celebration board game for $10 during a Black Friday deal and after waiting a couple days you canceled the order claiming it was due to it being out of stock. When I went back to your page after receiving a notification that it was out of stock, it allowed me to re-purchase the same board game that you claim is out of stock for almost $17 more. Sounds like a bait and switch and shady business practice.
The customer service is terrible and Everytime I call about not receiving my item I get a different story or am told it will be delivered between 6and 8 just waiting on a driver. Never shows up. Walmart. Canceled my order 2 times. They I order it a 3 Rd time and they want to charge me a delivery fee minimum order fee and a tip so a 10 dollar game is now 32 dollars. Would take all add on charges off so I cancelled my order and am not happy with Walmart.
They lure you in with a deal/black friday then cancel your order saying its no instock but when I go to the website it says its in stock. The game is not worth it at full price. I ordered this item 2 times, both times were canceled for the black friday deal, its cyber Monday and there is no deal. SMH DECEPTIVE SALES.
