The design helps reduce water splash so bath time stays neat and less messy. I like it because it's a lightweight and portable. So it's great for travel too. I was very excited to order this bathtub. We only have showers in our home so getting him something he could SPLASH and play in was a must. When we got it, it was bigger than I thought it was going to be. Which is great. Unfortunately the pump they sent is kind of useless. So blowing up this bigger than I expected bathtub was annoying, but I set it next to the shower and fill it up. It has the thing in the middle so he can't slip. It works really well. He does go crazy when he's splashing around but I just put an extra big towel down and we're good to go. When I go to empty it I just pick it up and pour it down the shower. It does get heavy the more water you put in. Obviously. So you have to be mindful when you pick it up. It's a great tub.

this is second one I bought for my special needs grandbaby. they leak air, and the longer I keep it and use it, the faster the air comes out, and the faster I have to order another one. getting expensive for a senior on a fixed income.

Pop a leak at the one of the seams which is impossible to seal. Only got a few months use out of it.
