I was tired of constantly buying the disposable shakers at the local grocery store so I bought this box to refill the salt shakers I already have. It's more than fairly priced and it has a handy pour spout that makes refilling and dispensing very easy. I definitely was not salty after this purchase. I recommend it to anyone.
For some obscure supply reason, Morton's has been hard to find and/or outrageously priced over the pat few years. I gave up and found another brand that is good, but not as good (crystals are bigger so I have to process it a bit smaller.) I felt like jumping for joy when I saw this at my Sam's (I'm a new member) and the prices was where it was years ago, under $2. I guess I need to get a life.
Excellent value and quality, as you would expect from Morton. The only shortcoming I have noted is keeping the box dry - not their fault, but make sure you keep it off the kitchen counter where spills won't reach it. :-)
We only use Morton salt. We don't use any generic. This is a large capacity box works out precut for us
This salt is a must for cooking and I do a lot of cooking! I'm so happy they have a big size of this brand
I have enough salt to last a very long time. Good packaging if you're a restaurant. Morton's has been a family staple for as long as I can remember. Melts ice, too.
I mean, it's the salt we all kind of know and you get so much. I bake a lot of bread buns and other things that require a decent amount of salt and this feels like it's still gonna last forever. I also cook a lot of pasta, so I use a lot of salt in the water when boiling and still I have a ton left
The top of all the boxes in the rack at the store were loose. Evidently the glue did not stick. I had to use some packaging tape to seal up the top of the box when I got it home
Packaging was terrible the whole bottom of the box it came in was a layer of salt that I'm going to have to throw away. there's no reason for the condition of this box. The edges on the salt box itself look worn. It looks like it's been in someone's pantry for several years.. like a few pieces of taped could have contained the product inside its packaging seriously just why
There was nothing wrong with the salt itself...BUT the box it was in was smashed and had a hole...then someone put it in a bag that also developed a hole....THEN someone had the bright idea to put the whole thing in a box and that box looked as though it was run over by a truck and yes as you've probably guessed by now that also had a smashed end leaking salt. Obviously I threw the whole thing out! Oh...I forgot to mention it was about a week later than the date noted on my order that it was delivered....probably took time to repackage
