I have been using MRM Whey protein, chocolate flavor for years. It was initially recommended by my nutritionalist. I put it in my coffee every morning. In the beginning I had to get used to the taste but now I love it. I have tried this one and the isolate but I found that the isolate didn't mix in as well. HINT: put the chocolate whey protein in your mug first then add the coffee to have it mix well. It DOESN'T mix if you pour it into a liquid but if you do it the opposite and pour the liquid onto the powder, it mixes up well. I have also used the vanilla flavor in smoothies. I prefer the chocolate but they are both good.
It is important to me that the product be free of artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. And I especially appreciate the fact that it is sweetened with Stevia instead of Sucralose or any artificial sugar, or high fructose corn surup. This is the best product I have found so far.
I am so very pleased with this product. I was a faithful fan of Prolab for many years. When I came a crossed MRM I was a little leary when I first purchased it. The cost of Prolab is the reason I switched labels. To me, the cost is the only difference between MRM and Prolab. I am a happy customer.
i started with the mrm chocolate whey powder first, the taste was so good, and it mixed well. i now have the rich vanilla and feel the same way about it. i just wish mem would come out with a berry powder . that would make me really happy. i will be getting this powder for a long time to come. enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am always a little bit hesitant when buying protein powder because I don't want any junk/chemicals or fake sugars in it. Also, protein powder tends to be a bit pricey. I was beyond thrilled when I found this protein powder on Swanson! It's 2 pounds for only 23.99! I bought two - it was such a great deal! The flavor is great and I have been using it a lot! It's great in protein pancakes, shakes, baking, everything! Love this protein! It's definitely THE BEST protein powder I have ever purchased. Extra bonus - it's very low in calories! Only about 80 calories for one scoop! Awesome! :)
This product has a great price for the superior formulation provided. The only thing that would make it better would be to use only whey concentrate versus concentrate plus isolate. The chocolate is the one I tried and it tasted good. Will be trying other flavors in the future. Sure hope they continue to carry this one as I have bought some other formulations in the past that I really liked and it seemed as soon as I settled on making it a staple in my regimen, they quit carrying it. I make a quick meal. Mix with a little water and get a paste. Add lots of good stuff. Hemp powder, blueberries, walnuts, bananas. If I don't feel like cooking, I do this anytime. Very health!
I enjoy adding this product to a fruit and veggie smooth. It provides the protein building blocks that I am looking for after a nice free weight and cardio work out.
It's not bad. Flavor is mild, not overboard with the fake sweetness I find in a lot of protein powders, but could have more chocolate flavor. It helps to add a bit of unsweetened cocoa powder. I mix with almond or coconut milk. Could be a bit thicker, but it's easily drinkable.
While I do like the ingredients list a lot, this is the worst tasting protein powder I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot. It tasted like coconut and at first I thought there was coconut oil in it, but I checked the ingredients and there is not. I had lingering coconut flavor reminders the rest of the day. Tried mixing with other things and did not find a good way to make it palatable.
