I wanted to wait to post for a bit to give a honest review. I've had this laptop for 3 weeks now. So far its amazing, the graphics are great and my games have all run smoothly during game play. It is an very lightweight laptop and I love it. For me the game play so far lasts 3-4 hours (straight through play, no breaks) before it dies. But for a laptop thats pretty good especially compared to my previous laptops. My opinion this is well worth it.
I got this computer after reading reviews. it is one of the best laptops I have ever owned. its fast without any glitching. I can definitely tell the difference when I am gaming on this laptop compared to my hp. The red under the keyboard really sets it off. I would definitely buy another one.
no matter what you might need your laptop for, this laptop has enough power to do the job and then some. with the internal ssd for storage, you'll have fast load times for all your favorite games. comes preloaded with 8gb ram but you can easily upgrade that to 64gb.
Bought this for being able to game at home and traveling while also using for work. Great laptop for gaming on the go, just remember the charger because the battery life while gaming is not ideal. Can upgrade RAM and SSD if you want a little better performance and memory.
Perfect in every way. Bought this laptop for my daughter. She uses it for online classes and gaming. At first, it was heating up and turning off (which is a great feature for kids, cause she would of continued to play until it melted)..one quick look from mom and I realized it needed an update. Problem solved. Plus the camera can be turned off...just remember to read about that feature because the computer will not be able to find camera. Straight out the box, read the information included, computer itself helps with the set up...walks you through every step. Probably 30 minutes total and up and running. Zero complaints. All around a perfect computer.
Man when I say I wasn't expecting all that I received with this laptop I mean it. Awesome quality and since this is my very first gaming laptop it has a bunch of features that are blowing my mind because not a lot of computers do things such as giving you the ability to control the fans etc. So dope. Definitely worth the stack I paid for it. And although I purchased so that I can use for my business and creativity needs, just the fact that I can if I wanted to play games on it make it just that much better. I'm happy about my purchase and excited about embarking on all of the other features I am unfamiliar with. Dope laptop and business investment.
best bang for your buck especially for under 1000 dollars-- new intel 10th gen cpu - 1660ti 6gb gpu - wished it was a rtx :( lol - i upgraded the ram to 16 gb when i got home - it has a extra slot for another NVME drive to expand the storage thats a plus :) I really like the slick black look, the screens picture is perfect -- only con - could had atleast 1 more 3.1 usb - 2 just isnt enough - i couldnt look my mic up - im going to have to buy a usb - c adapter im a happy customer
Wife needed a new laptop to use for an online course she's taking, and I knew nothing about computers so I thought "as long as it's an i7 it will be fast". I ALMOST paid $750 for a Lenovo just because it was an "i7", but the sale ended the day before. I started to do some research on computers (everything I knew from the last time I bought a computer was of course obsolete now). I learned the processor in that computer, i7-1065g7 was only 4 cores 8 threads running at only 1.3ghz, when I came across the MSI GF65. It was priced at about $200 more, but was a much nicer setup cosmetically with red backlit keyboard and aluminum casing, AND it had an i7-10750H processor that's 6 cores 12 threads running at 2.6ghz! On top of that it comes with an awesome GTX1660ti video card that can run all the games on the xbox Gamepass app already installed on the computer. It's an XBOX as well as a computer! It only came with 8 gigs of ram, but I can add more myself later when I catch it at the right price, so that was the least of my concerns. I bought it through walmart, so for $88 I got the 3 year accident warranty, which everyone else seems to be charging $299 for (?). So, my wife needed a laptop for school, and I also got a new gaming machine to boot. For $1131.02 including sales tax this thing is amazing! I'd give it 5 stars, but we originally bought it for store pickup, but when we got there they had none in stock and none on order. I then ordered it again for delivery and got it in the mail in 2 days, but over 48 hours later I still haven't received a refund back from walmart, so I'm going to have to make some calls.
Updated laptop to latest drivers. Fan is very loud. Even at idle / low usage, the fan is loud. Laptop freezes when switching from gaming window to different window. Alt tab also freezes laptop when gaming. GPU likes to throttle so when initially gaming or starting a new game, frames are skipping. Hinges are also weak. It looks like it will break after a year of constantly opening and closing the laptop screen. I bought this due to the price and specs. I am returning the laptop and looking for a different one even if I have to pay a couple hundred more. I have bought a used MSI gaming laptop a couple years ago with the 8th Gen i7 and GTX960. The laptop had weak hinges and the fans were also loud as this. I had to replace the fans on this one, but still they were loud, just not as bad. It was a known issue with the laptop. I didn't think it would still plague the new model. It seems to be of the same issue. I know of other MSI laptop users with same issues. Weak hinges and loud fans. Before buying, please research. I may have got a bad one, but you don't want to have to deal with issues further down the road of using the laptop.
This laptop is not a good laptop. The battery died within a hour and that was after turning keyboard lights off, turning screen display to a low level and following the other battery saving tips. Called technical support and was told if I use 3d or play games battery would die fast. This is a gaming laptop. Do not buy.
